@HustlePaul i had my 6400s since 2019. They were my work horses till this day. They are definitely worth the upgrade. One advise I can give u is, if u buy lenses, buy full frame lenses instead of the apsc because the day will come and u will upgrade to a fullframe and NOT having the glass for it, is devastating and expensive. Start off with kit lenses that come with the camera and that are cheap on the Facebook market place. Then when u want to specialize in glass buy full frame.

Great Video, Peter. That’s almost exactly my setup. Only difference: I went with the 24-70 GM instead of the 16-35. 24 is wide enough for me to use for vlog situations, and I wouldn’t want to miss the extra reach, compression etc. of up to 70mm. Especially if I carry only one lens. For an action cam I’d go with a 360 camera instead of a classic action cam. Since the Insta360 X3 they’ve become so good, and the option to choose your framing in post has been an absolute game changer for me. Just upgraded to the X4, and the image quality is impressive and matches the 4K shots of my main camera even better. Rest of my daily used workhorses are the same: Mini4Pro, PeakDesign Carbon Travel Tripod, Sony and Dji Mics, and a similar charging case like yours. Got mine from Patona, but yours looks great too! Does it hold the battery’s, or can they fall out in rough situations? …only thing I’m missing in your recommendations: A good ND filter.

I think the majority now is not really vlogging but working from home, a studio or maybe outside but with the camera on a fixed spot. Riktigt bra video!!

Would love to know what you'd buy in terms of lighting. 🙌

Amazing recommendations, and I agree with pretty much everything. However, I think you left out one of the most important things/category, and that is lighting. In my opinion with good lights you can have a much worse camera setup any still create high-quality footage.

I'm currently using a Canon 77D with a Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 lens and am looking to upgrade to a Canon mirrorless body within a budget of $1000-$1500. I mainly want to use it for (Corporate/Institutional) Photography in conferences, meetings, seminars, outdoor activities, and some video interviews (Corporate). Which camera model would you recommend that would pair well with my existing lens and provide a significant upgrade in terms of features, performance and budget? Thanks in advance!

Is there another way to connect the mic if you use a cage that covers the hotshoe?

Unfortunately not!

Great setup, I have the zv-e1 with the tamron 17-28 f. 2.8. Only have the dji mini 2, but it works fine (will most likely be my next upgrade). Other than that, not much stuff… 😅

Thanks for many good videos. I think I have to upgrade my microphone... ;-) Do you never use cage and/or top-hand? How does this microphone work if it's not connected in the flash-shoe (Swenglisch for blixtsko) / Matti in Jokkmokk
@PeterLindgren18 ай бұрын
It only works if connected to the hotshoe!

A WORD OF ADVISE regarding CANON TRICHARGERS! The Canon Tricharger isnt fully functional yet. It has problems with the 2022 / 2023 produced Canon LP-E6NH batteries. I've been in contact with them for several months and they cant get it to work properly. It seems to be charging, but it never shows the right charge/leds. I've got one store bought and one updated example straight from Jupio, they still doesnt work, sad to say. They are having big problems with decoding: "it’s extremely hard to decode the battery status information of the latest OEM LP-E6NH batteries." As of now they say "Right now, we are considering placing a footnote on the product stating that in some cases the Tricharge could show less LEDS than it should." So if you use the LP-E6NH batteries, do consider if to buy this product or not.

Yeah i know about the issue, and it sucks. I've been on it since i heard about it first time, just haven't gotten a good update yet. The unit works as intended, except for the LED's. Still not giving up on a fix for it, but yes, if you use the LPE6NH (only the NH), then it won't be working properly.

Great video, I myself is thinking about some new gear as i was previously on the Sony A6000. QQ i know that creatives are busy filming and shooting etc so would you say you’d be grateful if someone came in and handled all the scripting for your videos and streamlined the whole process? Just trying to see if there is a market for scriptwriting for video & photo creators
@PeterLindgren17 ай бұрын
I never script my videos, just simple bullet points

Hi Peter. What would you choose? The a7IV or the a7cii? I have a hard decision to choose.
@PeterLindgren1Ай бұрын
I'll say the A7 IV

@ thanks for quick response.
@FlyOnAlineАй бұрын
@ hi Peter, I have one less question you might have the answer for. I currently come from a canon M50. a A7IV will be a big improvement😊 From a crop sensor and a 15-45mm F/3.5-6.3 To a Sony 20-70mm F/4 G full frame. The F/4 will be better right for lowlight? Still, it’s only a F/4
@FlyOnAlineАй бұрын
I mean a F/4 crop sencer vs F/4 ful frame, the full frame will win I lowlight😊
