I’ve also started with Canon, then when everybody was switching to mirrorless I decided to try Sony A7III. Even though it was a great camera I just couldn’t feel it so I’ve switched back to Canon, R5 this time. Great chat!

I have a set of the DZO Vespid Primes and love them. The 16 and 35 are two of my favorites in the line.

😀Fun to watch and listen video. Thanks! I enjoyed both your timeline stories. Mine began in 1978 with a Panasonic NV-8600 PAL VHS recorder and Monochrome tube camera, connected by a 30 meter cable. Huge fun when filming with lights in front of the lens. 1980 that all changed with the first color camera in PAL. My aunt (96 years) has my first recordings on VHS tape. A lot has changed.

Great video Benjamin! I agree that it's important to feel inspired by our gear to want to go out and shoot. Other than photography, I really enjoy the process of shooting videos. One thing that makes me want to practice my craft is watching people like you or the Wandering DP's talking heads, and just analyzing and trying to replicate your look. I find that out of all the KZbinrs in the photography/videography industry, you both have the best exposure levels for the skin and contrast ratios with the background. Would you mind doing a video showing us your recording setup please? I'm particularly curious about the size of your softbox which I'm guessing is bigger than the 35" Lightdome II.

What would be interesting is to see what you might create with the most basic equipment. No automatic anything.

It was nice to listen your chat about your camera journeys. I like the passion connected to the gear. I am actually on the Fujifilm path, but loving the actual camera and it does stop me from moving to Sony even though I know that I can get a bit more quality with particular lenses ;)

Great video! I still still own a Canon 7D 😂 I’ve upgraded lenses, but it still takes great pictures, just so heavy! Sony is my favorite, lightweight go too! Cheers

After watching spectacular footage you captured using the Ronin 4D, I was curious to know whether it remains your camera of choice for your ongoing projects or if it was solely utilized for that particular project.

I think everyone goes on one of two pipelines. Cannon to Sony or Nikon to Fuji lol. I think shooting lots of different subjects and types is so important to learn, but people think you need to stick to onetype of photography to keep with the 'consistent' feeds on instagram

Haha that’s so true! I then went back to canon
