"I'm gonna tell you something good about yourself" needs to go down as one of the best, most heart-warming lyrics ever. It's beautiful because, even though nothing is actually said, you know what's going to be said. Utter loveliness.

This notion is further intensified when she devotes this compliment to this person, and this person alone. Restricting a compliment to a person is an incredibly intimate notion in my opinion. Those 2 lines have so much emotional depth.

"You say your life will be the death of you Tell me, do you wash your hair in honeydew? And long for all of them to fall in love with you But they never do" and i don't think that the beginning like "just like honey" (as someone said it wisely, "be my baby" before) is by accident here! Both bands from Scotland, it's 80's we are talking about! A brilliant little nod

If I may absurdly reply to an antique comment, maybe it got some airplay on MTV Europe and other British stations? I know Camera Obscura has had slightly more commercial success in their home island. Yes, I would be very surprised if anyone in North America saw this at the time it was new.
