Camera PnPoint Introduction - Blender Addon

In this video I demonstrate how to use the Camera PnPoint addon for Blender 2.92-3.0+
This addon uses OpenCV library, which needs to be installed in the Blender path. You may need to start Blender with elevated privileges in order to install it.

For an old-schooler like me this is an absolute gem of a find RT studios. Anyone who tries to cam match into aerial photography knows how tricky it is. Kudos for developing this. Just tested this and definitely worth a coffee or three. Many thanks for this great tool !

I thought I had found the addon I was dreaming of but unfortunately once installed I don't have the "Solve PnP" menu in the Solve tab. I’m using Blender 3.2.2. Thanks for your help.

I cant install opencv in blender, it says "/snap/blender/2873/3.3/python/bin/python3.10: No module named pip" My environment is ubuntu 18.04, thanks.

This is the tool I was looking for, to transition from 3Ds Max to Blender. There some options I'd like to see further in this tool but overall it's looking pretty good. Is is possible to add the option to make points on the geometry active or deactivate them for the camera calculation? Maybe just a checkbox in a list or something, like in 3DS Max? I use this max tool to match cameras of cars all the time.

Doesn't work with the photo I have. Big room, 2 walls, with chair rails. Can't see the ceiling. Round table blocks bottom wall corner and baseboard. One full painting on one wall (only good thing at all). Icarus for Blender 2.4 was a lot easier to get the correct camera settings.

For some reason, it stopped working in Blender 3.5.

It's not working unfortunately. It don't want to install OpenCV for some reason. An error comes up: Command '['C:\\Program Files\\Blender Foundation\\Blender 4.0\\4.0\\python\\bin\\python.exe', '-m', 'pip', 'install', 'opencv-contrib-python']' returned non-zero exit status 1.

Just run blender as administrator this will solve the problem
