Very interesting. It would be interesting to see more videos using speedlight only. Also, why did you start with the speedlight so far from the subject? Was that because you knew you would use the cookie later?

I used a Profoto Air remote, but you can use any flash triggering system that will work with your speedlight.

Again, thank you for another interesting and helpful video. I look forward to these each week and I'm learning from each of them. I have a problem that hasn't come up in the videos so far: when using flash and a soft box I'm sometimes getting highlights from the shape of the soft box on parts of the image - especially if I'm photographing ceramic and glass. If you can include any suggestions for managing this in one of your upcoming videos that would be so helpful. Thank you.

Yes I will do a video showing how to overcome this, In the meantime you could try moving the soft box as close as you can to the subject.

@@CameraClubLive Thank you so much. I did move the soft box closer - it helped a little but the reflections are still there. Removing them with PS works but not perfectly. I look forward to seeing a video you might do on the subject.
