A friend of mine told me at my husband's funeral that "God must have needed another angel in Heaven." Yes, my son and I lost my husband and my son's father in 2004. My husband and I had almost 41 years together as husband and wife so believe me, I do know the pain of loss. But I think my friend was right in what she told me that day. We three were very close and it was dreadfully hard for boy my son and me. I was also told (by another person, not my friend) a very crass statement: "Oh, you'll find someone else." I replied to this statement to the effect that, yes, if I were interested in looking I might find someone else, but I'm not interested and I ain't interested. That's been almost 20 years ago, and I still miss the love of my life (as a marriage partner). May God comfort Sarah and her sons at this time of loss. I do know it is very hard.
