I know what you’re going through! I lost my husband the day after my birthday and it was caused by a medical mistake. But he suffered!!! He got a bed sore that is required by law to report. However, the nurses covered it up and when I found out and blew my stack things were to far gone. It’s been 6 years and I still can’t talk about it without going into a severe depression. But Sarah, I do feel your pain and my sister, I WILL BE keeping you and the kids in prayer. My son was in his early 40’s and he ended up in a mental hospital for over a month. I should have gone to the hospital too because I didn’t deal with it. I don’t remember anything for over a year. I had a complete mental breakdown. I remember nothing! He was my rock like Ron was your rock! My kids were grown with families of their own. Had they been younger like yours are I don’t know what I’d of done. I have MS, I’m in a wheelchair and now on oxygen. My husband and I were fishermen, had our own boat and did a lot of fishing! He was a hunter but not me! Anyway, I’m in your corner and if you want or need to talk to someone let me know. We can find a way to talk. But I’m a born again Christian and I believe that if Jesus wasn’t there to hold my hand I’d be dead.

You learn to live with it a little more each day as time moves on. I am terribly sorry for your family's loss, I know what you're going through. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers often. Please stay strong, and talk to anyone, everyone about how you're doing and feeling. Sara, I went thru the same thing 3 years ago with my husband if 25 years. Honey the only way you navigate this is to put one foot in front of the other and allow yourself the time you need to regain your balance in a new workd you didnt ask for. Grief has no time limit unfortunately. ❤❤

Sara, Ron taught so many how to fish and how to love. You are the center of the family and things are pretty much still in chaos motion. Navigation is the bi-product of loss and heart break sorrow. Remember when the boys got brave enough to begin walking by holding onto all the furniture? You are at that stage, learning how to walk, like your sons did. Your circle is large and there are many loving folks in your circle who will be your furniture to hang on to as you gain strength and make the direction your very own. Hi Sara, I’ve been in your shoes before, let me tell you something! It’s not easy when you have to go it alone! But I can say, you need to stay busy, and your memories will sustain you! You need to take one day at a time, also if your church has bereavement therapy, attend it! It will help, also if you have questions, you’ve got friends who are very willing to help! Your boys will have a difficult time adjusting to not having his dad around! Ron was such a loving person, funny,and very into everything he did. My prayers for all of you, hugs, and know you’re all loved! Remember just take one day at a time, in due time things will get easier, but your memories will get you through this! I went through a similar thing when I was a younger woman. Just a tad bit older than you are. It’s tough but I promise you it will get to a point where you will function again but in a different way.
