During the COVID-19 pandemic, Cameron Diaz launched a wine label, Avaline, with her best friend. It's the first time most are seeing Diaz in years after she quit acting in 2014. She spoke to Dana Jacobson about her love of food and wine.

Women are way ahead of men in this area. Only a Dr. Daniel Amen emits Cameron's belief/vibe in clean eating. It's so important. Feel 1000 percent better after changing to a really clean way to eat. What's esp rewarding is when I get into a nine, ten, eleven day clean-eating-rhythm? Which also helps cleanse the system. I never have to worry about my weight, only about staying close to the eating/workout/visualization regimen.

I had to stop drinking wine when I learned it was the sulfites giving me migraines. Migraines are usually caused when your body becomes inflamed while it's rejecting something. It's important to recognize how your body responds to what you consume. I can wait to try this wine.

Oh man, this was a really fun interview -- I just love this woman and I'm super excited to see her again. Her organic wine story triggered a memory of a fun Dad story, so pardon my indulgence. My dad's career was selling agricultural chemicals to farmers and ranchers. One of his long time customers (raisin grape crops) decided to go organic, but had been having problems getting ladybugs to stay on his vines. It turned out that if you purchase adult ladybugs, they will "fly away home" as soon as they are turned loose. A much better idea was to spread ladybug larvae on your crops instead, where they will stay after hatching. That is a huge project, apparently, so my dad who loved radio controlled airplanes, designed a radio controlled crop duster. They filled the hopper with a mixture of ladybug larvae and sawdust and then my dad flew the plane up and down the vineyard rows, dusting with larvae as he went. lol ...... to hear the tale, it was a great success.

I absolutely agree . It’s a huge mistake to describe any alcohol as something healthy/ organic . It’s killing your liver and is just toxic - so simple. Stay away from it as much as you can . 😃

wait until vegans learn white sugar is not vegan.... Bone char, the bones from the meat industry burned to a char, is used to clarify sugar. There are vegan options, but most sugar refineries still use bone char because it's cheap, and they are also not required to inform with what substance the sugar has been clarified. Because of this most baked goods, even if they are marked as vegan, aren't actually vegan.
