GPIA7R Totally Agree. The name says it all, speak easy. Mr. Tompkins has a way of personalising each conversation it feels like you're sitting there having a drink with them. I've become so weary of interviewers who just follow a list of questions. Paul LISTENS to the conversation and just flows with it. Not once does he need to glance at a piece of paper as if your guest is somehow not interesting enough to warrant a meaningful discussion without notes. Keep Up the good work Cast and Crew of Made Man. The extra effort required to do the multi camera setup goes a long way and is much appreciated.

I kind of feel like she dodged the substance of the question about lesbians dressing like men. Nobody owns certain hair styles, fashion choices, mannerisms, etc. This is true. So what if we rephrase the question as: how come so many lesbians, relatively speaking, seem to gravitate toward traditionally male stereotypes?

PercyLeMat There's probably as many homosexuals that don't dress or behave stereotypically, but they just don't get reckognized as homosexuals. That to me is one plausible reason, why they would dress up like that: they want to be reckognized in order to attract a certain group of people (and be rejected by another, e.g. men for a lesbian). But I think the main reason, why some people (straight or gay), dress up stereotypically gendered is because they are very gendered in their thoughts. They just get socialised with the idea, that gender is an important thing and that certain attributes are automatically linked to it. Yet many might think, that being a lesbian automatically influences you in a way, that you realise, gender is not the biggest issue and women can be very devirsed. But in fact, that's not necessarily the case. There's also homosexuals that can be homophobes (like a gay couple that believes, that they aren't normal and shouldn't be allowed to raise children together... ). If you don't believe in the strict causality of gender and certain attributes, you don't feel the necessity to fit into that classic pattern.
