of course! he's been in the business for a long, long time and there's no live audience beyond the cast that they have to worry about entertaining. they get to talk in earnest about something they BOTH care about deeply and have BOTH dealt with for years and years. it makes me want to see more interviews with "[Career Professional] interviews [Career Professional]," be it comedy or otherwise. What would two [whatever profession] people talk about REGARDING said profession if given the opportunity? I NEED THIS MAKE THIS A CHANNEL

Terrific interview. Paul F. Tompkins is a wonderful interviewer. He really allows the guest to remain the focus. Well done!
@Lorieellesh10 жыл бұрын
I've never seen this guy - Paul F. Tompkins - before, or even heard of him; but I thought the same thing. He seems like a very nice guy, and does allow his guest to be the focus of the conversation; so unlike the Conan O'Brien or Craig Ferguson types, who push so constantly for laughs that it makes you weary . TV needs more guys like this host. It's refreshing to see an interviewer act like a gentleman, with a little class, intelligence, and good breeding for a change.
@jchesney7 жыл бұрын
Also, Ferguson was actually a genius at getting his guests to loosen up and reveal more of themselves than they would with someone who really stuck to their scripted interview. He was high energy, but you can tell that most of the guests actually would get super relaxed on his show.

For me, weed made me content with mediocrity. My first year of college I was getting blazed 5+ days a week, not meeting any new people, not getting laid or even talking to girls for that matter. I was also getting poor grades. I was depressed and I thought weed was making it better, but then when I stopped smoking I realized that weed was making it worse. It's different for everyone though, just do what feels right for you.

I know the experience described at 2:23 aalll too well. The more niche something is, the more it seems to define you. And at the same time the more niche something is, the less likely it is that people will enjoy it.
