How to say this? I have spent hours defending Sonny and Jason on Twitter especially and when things get heated and people get personal saying things like they eat up airtime or they have a say in scripts and who gets most air time etc…which is not true. Maurice follows me and he pops in and has surprised more than a few people trashing him. They are both excellent actors but they don’t deserve the hate! I don't think I quite buy Joss saying she forgave him. Cam has every right to be skeptical about her forgiving him. The way she pointed out that he wouldn't listen? Listening works both ways. Joss was in a much more capable position to show that she's listening. Problem is that I don't think she's adept at listening. Barely decent. She hears but she doesn't really listen. You'd think that she'd pick up listening skills by being around Jason, but no. I can see Cam being a much better person than Joss currently. His ability to eventually admit fault, take responsibility, among other things makes him currently better than Joss. Honestly, I don't really see what he really sees in Joss. He's willing to listen to her and yet she doesn't really listen to him. That's just messed up. As for Jason. Jason is doing a good job leading by example. He listened. He understood. And he doesn't ask for anything in excess. Unlike some people who'd want Cam and Liz to grovel and kowtow and all that submissive bullshit. That's called being petty.

But there's a problem that's already shown that will pervade in this instance. Yes, Joss was right. But that was the problem with the situation between Cam and Joss. It was more about being right than being compassionate, and listening, and responding accordingly. When two individuals are arguing about who's right, the resulting conflict has a way of just exploding with neither side winning. This is not a pattern that one should look to sustain, and one that any individual should try to be more cognizant of. Recognize when being right IS NOT what the goal should be.

This young man finally calmed down his acting choices. He was getting real big and it was awful. You don’t have to chew up the scenery to be dramatic. Really nice scene. Jason and Cam have a very wholesome history, it would be nice to see it shared with Jake. I’ve always liked Jason’s matter-of-fact style in his graciousness. Cam being wrong is understandable and not a big deal. Jason doesn’t have any interest in being angry and he doesn’t have any interest in Cam wasting his time feeling guilty. Jason has always been that way with Cam’s mother, he was recently that way with Anna when she apologized regarding Peter. Holding a grudge is a waste of energy. It’s very zen of him, Jason is ever the emotional minimalist.

I love that the apology finally happened but one thing I hate about General Hospital is that the victim always forgives the trash so damn easily; I hate how they end everything on a positive note; no one ever gives off the cold shoulder to the pieces of trash who deserve it. In animation it derives old that everyone just forgives so easily. Most scenarios don’t work like that; not with everyone. I don't really believe anyone "deserves" mistreatment or something bad to happen to them because of a bad choice, mistake, and so forth. I think more in terms of necessity. What is necessary and effective in getting the individual to truly learn and do better. Punishment, and the like, are often not very effective, especially if it's not related or made specific to the action and person. I prefer consequences that directly address the true issue or problem, that help the individual learn from the mistake or bad decision. That requires also knowing the individual to know what actually helps them recognize their mistake and pushes them towards doing better. I also tend to find punishment, for the sake of punishing, to be an illogical course of action and it tends to bring out the worst in people.

Whether Cam decides to apologize to Joss depends on what he wants. As for Joss, I doubt she's truly forgiven Cam. The way she answered seemed to suggest that she never really got around to thinking about it. But more importantly, the way she said that he wouldn't listen showed just how self absorbed she is. He was the one in a lot of pain and grieving. He was not in the right state of mind to listen. You cannot expect someone who was emoting the way Cam was to truly listen. He needed someone to listen. She didn't recognize that because she was more concerned with being right and defending Jason. She did a very poor job, if you could call it that, of acknowledging and validating his emotions. In short, she was being an insensitive douche.

@@jasminesmith9898 are you referring to his apologies to Joss during the whole "Who killed Franco" arc, or in general? I agree with how apologies should be genuine. As far as being a friend goes, Joss hasn't been that good of a friend. Sure, friends should call each other out on their BS, but however, there are times when to do it, and then there are times when they need to do something else first. Timing is important, as well as understanding. Part of the reason they had their conflict was because she didn't listen, and recognize what the situation calls for. She can say she understands that he was in pain and is grieving, but I doubt she even took the time to really understand the depth. She even had to have a talk with Jax, before realizing that she wasn't being as compassionate as she thought. Regardless. I have not been impressed with Joss's skills as a friend during the arc. She has been very selfish throughout most of the arc. Part of the problem I see with her is how she doesn't recognize when it shouldn't be about whomever being right, when she should just listen, among other things. That's a common problem in general- the "need" to be right.
