Look here's the thing, I'm a massive Cowboys fan and Jonathan Thurston is my favourite player of all time. But I have to say for a fact... that Cameron Smith is the G.O.A.T 🐐 He's played the most games in NRL, he's scored the most converted points in NRL, he's won a lot of premierships for Storm and he's probably played the most games for QLD in State of Origin. I'm not a huge fan of Smith, but he is the G.O.A.T 🐐

He probably thinks that the entire public in Australia has been on there edge on their lounge seats, waiting with baited breath & unable to sleep desperately wondering wether Mr Smith would retire in the end nobody really could care less. It says a lot that he has played around 20 years with the storm with various records (Most points scored, most games) etc AND THE MELBOURNE STORM AND THE STORM DIDN'T EVEN GIVE HIM A SEND OFF. I used to like watching the Storm play & used to have a lot of respect for the achievements until the truth came out exposing their cheating ways. Even when caught there was no sign of remorse. Yeah the grubbiest part too! Lol I admit he was a clever player but the NRL were dumb for not pressuring the refs to pin him and others like him sooner. That's part of being a ref, understanding when a player is manipulating around the rules and punish them, let them know you know what they are doing and put the flow back in the game the way it's meant to be.

See Smith and Lockyer were both thinkers with exceptional football minds, whilst Gallen was whinging at the referee. Why are the wins from the years the storm cheated counted ? Every game during that period is a loss not a win 06'07'08'09'10 that's over 100 games taken off his stats. Thats the whole point of punishing cheaters otherwise it becomes worth cheating.
