It was spooky her practicing ballet for no reason but that she found it appealing somehow...After letting her teacher and the brother get blown away. The touch of having Derek moved to tears at the sight of her dancing was beautiful and terrifying. If Cameron can create beauty and appreciate (and show concern for no mission-related reason for her friend at the library), could in time she find a way to a kind of spirituality? We humans are more than the sum of bones and meat, after all.

Depending on how you define a soul, I could agree with that. But, like a human, Causality isn't perfect. There are variables that you can't count on. Freak occurances. What we can call a soul is the human ability to choose on their own, past Causality or the plans of a deity.

WONDERFUL!! What's brilliant about this show is this idea is never actually said. You have a robot pretending to be human, working around humans. The question must raise itself without any help from the show. Does she want to be human? We're never given an outright no or yes, so we all supplant the only answer left to us. Maybe. That possibility grows in our minds, gnawing away at us, and what TSCC does do is toy with that lingering unanswered question with things that may, MAY hint at it.

@The136th Well neither of us know where souls would come from, or at what level of complication a machine stops being a mere machine, and gets something that we would call a soul. The "Vick" T-888 appeared to be involved in some level of sexual activity with his wife, even cameron commented that his touching his wifes lips was "effective". I would assume a 888 or above would be at least capable of infiltrating to that degree. Cameron was hitting on John to get close in the pilot, she may have tried to become a girlfriend to further that goal had cromartie not launched his attack so soon.
