So true about oil temp. We should have a neon sign made for the rear window, that can be turned on/off by a switch. "Oil Temp Low - Please Pass" People probably wonder why we are driving like an ancient grandma but the oil is just cold at the moment haha

@@dickhitswater4836 I still own the ST actually and I will say that the coolant temp warms up super fast so I get warm air almost instantly.. The oil on the other hand.. I gotta wait awhile before I can romp on her before she's warm. Most cars don't have a oil temp gauge, just a water temp.

I'm looking to buy a used he said it’s 2013 st2 I bought it stock with 32k on it it’s now at 68k and raising. It lowered on springs and new struts probably 15k miles on them. It has 2.5inch straight pipe from the cat back. Can come with a 3inch catless downpipe and an accessport Got other small mods like sound symposer delete and fswerks short shifter with solid shift cable bushings and solid shift mounts And I also have a Cobb RMM that’s not on the car"" its red and looks clean. I need a daily and drive a 2006 rsx type s. But need a upgrade. Does his car sound ok for a daily. I wanted completely stock but his price and miles are hard to pass up he is asking 13,000

Changing the oil at 3000 miles is a waste these days. Even with conventional oil, you can go 5000. There are oils that will go 10,000 or even 20,000. The Focus ST has sensors that evaluate the oil quality and will tell you when to change it, it's not based on a mile interval.

This st1 st2 st3 stuff is maybe a good description for the usa but definitely not for the eu. I got a st3. Fully leder seats touchscreen heated steering wheel and chairs but no sony soundsystem. You can literally make your own list with these here

@@CameronAlford i disagree that the ST clutch is super light. I would just describe it as "medium" lol. The Corolla, Civic, VW Polo, Nissan Sentra, Scion tC, etc, are all much lighter. But the ST is pretty light for a *performance* car, much lighter than the Mustang for example

ST2 had LED headlights as an option, rock chips in the front are super common due to soft paint, if the front lower grill is gone then it had a bigger intercooler before, and see if the shutter system is still there

Such a good point about waiting until the oil is warm before you get on it. It takes longer than you think.
@brandons9138
@brandons9138 2 жыл бұрын
Unless you live where it it is extremely cold you just need to give the car a minute to push the oil through the engine. That is the whole point of multi viscosity oil. It's formulated to flow freely at low temps. I'm in the SF Bay area and it gets mildly cold here early in the mornings, mid 30's are not totally uncommon. After a cold start in about 2 minutes the oil pressure drops and at that point the engine has pushed the oil to all the critical parts of the engine.
