For anyone wanting info on the 8” sub in the back; His is a ‘98 and mine is a ‘01 with the nakamichi system. The stock Nakamichi amp MAX sub output is 60 watts at 2 ohms. PLEASE let me save you a ton of issues with a couple of pro tips: get an 8” open air sub. It HAS to be 2 Ohms or a dual voice coil wired in parallel. Try to keep your RMS under 60 watts or you will fry the stock amp like I did 😅 btw the amp is under the passenger side where the glovebox is. Subs to look at that will make a noticeable (not huge) difference but also not blow your amp or your budget: Skar Audio VD-8 D2 8" 2 Ohm, Kicker 44CWCD84 CompC 8", RECOIL RW8D2 Echo Series 8”, MB Quart DS1-204 Discus Shallow Mount Sub. Hope this saves someone the issues I had! Dont get too caught up in the free air/enclosed debate. The sub I put in was marketed as a free air sub but a year or so later it was suggested for use with an enclosure but I was happy with it for sure.

sub woofer is connected to the passenger rear driver side speaker iirc so that’s how it gets power love watching the videos!

I have this car and I can tell you that almost nothing is plug and play on this car. And you need to install something to get rid of the whine for the aftermarket radio. I don't remember what it was but I can check the papers if I still have them

@@Camhill182 hey man. I heard back from my uncle and his account doesn't show what best buy installed into my car. But I remembered it was some kind of amplifier bypass. The stock amp was causing a whining noise because of the new radio. Hope that helps!

@@Camhill182 I did notice your hair grew a few inches between the start and end of the install video. 😁 I once took a car to Circuit City Google it) to complete an install that I started and wasn’t able to complete. I had a 99 Civic Si and if I recall the back seats had to be removed so the factory rear deck 6x9’s could be replaced/upgraded. Even with the Crutchfield Master Sheet I needed some help. Your channel takes me back to my days of backyard installs. Thanks for sharing.
