+Destiny Farris It runs very well and the gas mileage is very good. I'm averaging around 32 to the gallon right now on it. I would suggest getting the Sonic over the Cruze. It saves you money and being a 16 year old you need to save as much as you can.

I work for Hertz rent-a-car and I drive many different cars on a daily basis. anything from a Mercedes E class to a Mazda 2. and I've driven everything in the compact class, the fiesta, Mazda 2, Rio, soul, Yaris, Prius C, etc. And the sonic is my all time favorite. It is the most well laid out and most comfortable of them all. It is probably my second favorite behind the Yaris. Thus car is a great car and it definitely does not feel like a compact like the others do. The fiesta is the worst about feeling like a compact.

+Zack Salter it's a Mazda 2 but with 200+lbs of extra weight,because Ford went cheap and decided not to use a high percentage (slightly more expensive)lighter weight/higher tensile steel. Only thing that separate the Scion version,Fiesta,Mazda versions...........each make in the North American Market gets "exclusive" usage of a particular body-style. 35% + of all Fords are dumped (many times at a loss/break even) to Fleet,Rental, and Government..............vehicles USA buyers don't want in the 1st place....because the Japanese offer so much better....and to a lesser extent the lower price Korea stuff. But then again, the Koreans dump quite a bit onto the Rental field to

My neighbor has one of these in silver. He's 80, but racks on the miles. I talked to him last week, and after owning his about a year and a half he's managed to rack on 55,000 miles. He absolutely loves it, he traded in a 2003 Malibu with 192,000 miles and he hasn't looked back. I've been looking around, and after seeing a new 2017 out and about the other day, I really like them. May consider it when I get a new car next year, wish they kept the "Blue Velvet" color choice though.

I recently bought a Chevy Malibu because my son needed a car, to travel so I bought him a Malibu. I am thinking what to buy my daughter when she will need it. But that is 3 years from now. From first impressions this is a pretty sweet little car especially the RS variant. Just not to crazy about the base model

ACEcolorado1 I have the 1.8 and it's no rocket but it's refined enough for a b-seg mill. It's an 8.8 sec car... the 1.4T is a tick quicker at 7.7 sec. It's peppy enough for me... smoother than you'd expect. And compared to other b-segs it's not lacking at all. The motors are much better in the Sonic than the heavier Cruze.

Trevrz1 Yeah. I have a 1.8L and I also get 8.8 - 9.1 all the time STOCK. It's a nice little car, to me it's the best in the sub-compact segment. It just seems sportier, even though the Fiesta has a rocket ST with 197 HP which is quicker. GM instead should of used the Cobalt's 2.4L with an upgraded transmission, or even the 2.0T from the Cobalt. It would be a much better car in it's segment. But props to the 1.4T it's really good on gas, and gets a second chopped off because of the torque.

Johnziah Roberts turbo’s add strain to the engine, not sure why you’d want to add a turbo into the sonic. The car is made for commuting, mpg, so if you add a turbo you need to retune.. have it done professionally or you’re gonna have a weird result lol
