Cutting Duleep Singh off from his family and his people. And Duleep Singh, father was Maharaja Ranjeet Singh [Lion of Punjab] was the first Maharaja of the Sikh Empire, and was a successful king who kept the British at bay for over 50 years. He died when Mahararja Duleep Singh, was 10 months old. Civil war broke out in the whole Punjab region. And then, and only then, could the British invade Punjab region. And the Sikh Warriors were famous soldiers. The Nihang Warriors of India. The Immortals, the protectors of all. And the other warriors of India that Alexander the Great, and his warriors talk about the Warriors of India. Duleep Singh, wrote to Queen Victoria, asking for the freedom of Punjab. And Duleep Singh, even asked Queen Victoria, for the return of the Kohinoor diamond. Queen Victoria, didn't reply. Duleep Singh, died in 1893 in a cheap Paris hotel room Penniless. And was found two days later. Maharaja Duleep Singh's wish for his body to be returned to India was not honoured. His body was brought back to England to be buried according to Christian rites. Duleep Singh, the son of the Lion of the Punjab. Destined to be ruler of Punjab. A film titled Maharaja Duleep Singh: A Monument Of Injustice, was made in 2007, directed by P.S. Narula. Duleep Singh married twice, first to Bamba Müller in 1864, and then to Ada Douglas Wetherill (1869-1930) in 1889. He had eight children in total. There is no-way Maharaja abandoned his family and people. I don't believe Maharaja gave away the Sikh Kingdom. And I don't believe he gave away the Kohinoor diamond, because he was far too young to decide on his future. The descendants of the great Maharajah. Kohinoor is our Telugu people's pride. It was first mined in kolluru mines, Andhra Pradesh during the rule of Kakatiyas Kings and fixed as left eye of goddess in Bhadrakali temple, Warangal, Telangana. As Warangal was capital of Kakatiyas.

The Kohinoor does not belong to India. India didn't exist when the British took over - it was made up of several small empires when the Mughal Empire came to an end. The Kohinoor was taken by the British from last Sikh Emperor, Dalip Singh, Ranjit Singh's son, who has no living descendants. If it is returned, it should be returned to Punjab.
