that second layer really made a difference and made everything so bright and lively!

Because South Africa is at the bottom of the world in the Southern hemisphere, the paint in fact runs in the opposite direction… not down, but up!

Have just discovered your excellent tutorials, your way of painting is perfect for me, and your instructions very clear. Thank you very much. I'm about 35% Scandinavian, have been to Denmark, maybe that's why I feel a connection. Is your book available in the US?
@CamillaDamsboArt Жыл бұрын
Well 35% scandinavian is perfect to make a connection :) or maybe it's just our shared passion 😍 yes the book is available in the US. It's actually published by an american publicist and can be found on Amazon, Barnes and noble and many more places

Thanks for this lovely video! Good to get a little more control over my wet-on-wet. 😊 I’m in southwest Ohio and, starting in mid-summer, we have billions of Black-Eyed Susans. I also have a big clump in my yard-they get nearly a meter high. And, you can stop on the roadside and gather as many as you can carry LOL! We also have safflowers which get even taller-they’re a truer lemon yellow with greenish centers. But no wild poppies. Our springs are long but I think slightly too warm for poppies.

Wow Nancy! It sounds like the most divine place 😍 I would love to be able to just pick them by the roadside!

Just lovely, Camilla! I am in Virginia in the US and have black-eyed susan in my garden--it grows out of control if I let it.

Hi Camilla! So glad you made a tutorial about your art style. I hope you'll make more videos and share it on KZbin. Such a fun to watch how the pigments flow with water. Just a quick question, what brand of watercolor do you use? My experience with Holbeins is they're not flowy when I do wet on wet paintings.

This is so beautiful, I love your style. I wish I could do lines as fine as you do for your stems, I always press too hard. I will have to work on a very light touch.

Camila, beautiful art, and love hearing your soothing instructions. I especially like the combination of wet on wet, and wet on dry on your second layer. Which dark color did you use for the center of the poppies?
