The are very few classical singers who can master the legato singing.....in my view, two of the most sublime and who can achieve a level of divine doing this are: Julia Hamari and Anne-Sofie von Otter.....of course there are many others...but according to two of the late most distinguished and accurate voice specialists, critics and reviewers of the Gramophone Magazine, Alan Blyth and J. B. Steane, Legato Singing in classical music is each time more rare...so, my admiration for Julia Hamari is immense....listening to the way she does the legato at the end of the first part of "Mon Coeur" is sheer delight and her floating pianissimo at the end of the aria is typical of a high soprano.....
