In Episode 11 of the Camino de Santiago series, join me as I face one of the toughest challenges yet: falling ill on the Meseta. Battling both physical illness and the constant companionship of Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and anxiety, I navigate the unforgiving, hot, and mentally challenging landscape with uncertainty looming over each step. However, amidst the struggle, moments of unexpected grace and resilience emerge - such as being prayed over by a nun - reminding me of the true spirit of the Camino. Follow along as I confront the physical and emotional hurdles, finding solace and determination in the midst of adversity. 'This episode is a candid portrayal of the highs and lows of the pilgrimage, showcasing the power of perseverance and the transformative journey of the soul. Will I call it quits, or will I find the strength to keep going?
🌍 About the Journey:
This video documents my trek along the iconic Camino de Santiago, celebrated for its spiritual significance and breathtaking landscapes. With FND and anxiety as constant companions, I embark on this pilgrimage, navigating both physical and mental hurdles. "Ultreia," a pilgrim's term urging one to go further, resonates deeply, especially as I embark on my second attempt at this transformative pilgrimage.

Foot pain is included in the Camino package. Pain, yet each morning you get up and continue the journey. You made it this far you’re not going to give up that easily. You’re going strong, determine, and that will get you to Santiago. You’re doing great, keep it up. Buen Camino. 👍 🥾 🥾

Did you ever consider having your bag transported? It really helps your feet.

I did it several times, mostly when the weather was bad though so I didn't look like a turtle out there and my back stayed covered by my poncho better 🤣
