There are 500 people a day at Pilgrim office at St Jean Pied de Port according to volunteer at Pilgrim Office! Villetuerta still no beds ahead. People getting creative for ideas. Pilgrims everywhere! Very busy but as usual pilgrims and Camino support people are awesome. Our second Camino

Bed hunt; It depends on the day you begin at SJPdP. I always begin mid week-less of an issue with beds as most pilgrims begin on a Sunday or Monday.

It may be too late but recommended a fast USB/wall charger. Really makes a difference in charging time.

Yup, I mention this in some videos. There's limited outlets for charging in the albergues and cafes, so the faster you can top up your phone, the sooner someone else can get in.

If you do end up getting any heel slippage, you can switch up to "heel-lock lacing". Buen Camino!
