This was really lovely, and I very much appreciated the guitar music in the background instead of the American music, which I normally love, as background to the Camino videos. You showed much respect for the country and its culture. I also love how you stated from the beginning that you were staying in hotels and had your luggage transported. I plan on doing this for my 65th birthday and will be doing the same thing, so it feels affirming that I don’t need to struggle through this anymore than I need to. Thank you again. Buen Camino

hi , last night I searched on KZbin about the path of santiago from sarria and I found your video and I was surprised that it’s the same logistic and the same video equipment to record the experience, also almost the same date with a difference of one year. was for my personal delight and I really enjoyed, I thank you very much that you share your experience, I started planning this trip since May of this year for the coming October 23 lax / madrid and Madrid train-hotel to Sarria with the same stages on the way to Santiago. By the way in Santa Barbara Ca, there is an association of pilgrims from Santiago, where they process a pilgrim card, (I live in Oxnard Ca, )I will arrive in Sarria early in the morning and right after I will leave to portomarin, I also will stay in hotels for a better rest and safe of the cameras and drone. It will be a life experience without a doubt, I like to thank you for anticipating what I will live of that iconic trip, Any advice will be appreciated. Greetings!!!

This was a great video. I have already done a Camino Portugues in December 2021 from Tui to Santiago de Compostela. I want to do this route Sarria to Santiago also in mid October 2023. In your video it rained on day 3 and 4 so I wanted to ask you what type of shoes did you wear and what gear did you use for the rain. Did it have gortex? The routes looked like they were well marked. As for the statues leaving A Rua to Santiago, you mentioned they were hard to find? Did you have to leave to marked route to get to the statues? There was nothing marking which way to go to see the statues? I certainly don't want to miss them!!
@stevefazzio Жыл бұрын
On the walk in this video, I used Northface Gortex Trail Runners. They weren't that great because they are low cut and have no ankle support. For our walk last year I used Hoka One One Gortex hiking boots. Much, much better. My gear was from Outdoor Research, bought at REI in the U.S. It has as gortex equivalent fabric. I highly recommend waterproof shoes and clothing, especially if your planning to go in the Fall. It rains a lot. This video was from 2018. Check our my video of the same route that we took last year during Easter Week. Buen Camino! kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqqQlZJ4fMqVq7s

Wonderful video! Wondering about two things: 1) that you were picked up by the guest houses, was it an extra service you paid for or knew in advance of being included? 2) what dates was this? Everything is pretty much available between Sarria and Santiago. It's best to buy bottled water, even though fountains are labeled potable. (I got this advice from a guide) Credit cards are accepted, but you should carry some cash. (We just returned from the Kumano Kodo in Japan and where I received my Dual Pilgrim Certificate. Stay tuned for a video of that journey.)

GoPro 7 Black with a Feiyutech stabilizer on days that weren't rainy. The 7's internal stabilization is good as long as it's bright enough out, but it's hard to hold the camera level without a stabilizer.
