I interpreted as you meant it. Throughout my life I have leaned on and trusted Him with my heaviest burdens that I cannot carry on alone. Much like backpacking, He teaches us to glean away all that is gathered as we pack our fears, until we are left with what is absolute.

God bless you Derek. I got what you went with being supported. there is the one set of foot prints in the sand poem. praying for Valentine miracles. Prayers for my husband Don's eyes to be open and his heart to be softened, that he will come to know Jesus. Safe travels..

It's Sunday. We're missing you. Are you okay? Seems like you gave us Charles' channel name the other day. Maybe we can find it and ask him. Hope he's okay too. Sounds like camino weather has been awful.

At least you know walking West all the time is a=easy, if the Sun is behind you in the morning and setting right in front of you late in the day.

Derek, try using a buff to cover your exposed parts of your face.. It's a tube cloth, slip it down over your head and protects your mouth, nose and face from the wind and sleet.

@@DerekCullenOutdoorsHi Derek, all the mystics from all religions speak of 'awarness'. Something I feel is what you're moving into. Enjoy today 🧘♂️

I read Anam Cara. I've been on the journey. Years later, I read the entire Gospel of St Matthew (it isn't that long) and suddenly realised that He is speaking to us and like yourself only after really becoming Christian, in fact in my case returning fully to my Catholic roots and as you say living and behaving as a Christian should were my eyes fully opened. Thanks for putting it into words.
@patbrougham99295 күн бұрын
I have been following you for years, Derek. And I have developed a real affection and respect for you. But the idea that Christians are above other kinds of people is repugnant to me. And the idea that the Roman Catholic Church is not of this world? And isn't this beautiful world the source and continuation of all life. And as such worthy of our reverence? Again this is coming from a place of affection. It is not meant to be negative. And I know I am a lonely voice here.
@marynadononeill5 күн бұрын
God made 'this beautiful world' and it cannot be its own source nor can it create actual life or aliveness. That comes from the Spirit of God. If our minds are only in the material realm and our definition of the 'world', both the natural world and the world of the society of mankind we are missing the bigger picture. We miss the supernatural dimension of reality.
@DerekCullenOutdoors5 күн бұрын
@@patbrougham9929 hi Pat. there is no idea that Christians are “above other kinds of people”. That is not in any way appropriate to the teachings of Christ. All the best 🙏

@@marynadononeill You speak with great conviction, but this is your unsupported opinion. And I after a lifetime of considering these issues I dissagree.
