Great videos. I'm thinking of walking this Way to Cordoba. Quick Q. Did you need a specific/special Credencial/pilgrim passport to stay at Albergues (if you did) or.just the standard Camino one? Thanks

Hi Darren, the answer is I don't know as we stayed in small inexpensive hotels. If you read Barbara's blog there are some links to the official web sites that will get you some answers hikingwithdaveandbarbara.com/mozarabe.html What I would say is that we did not see many people doing this Camino so if you are expecting a Camino Frances experience it will be different. but still good. We have walked the first 3 days but will carry on to Cordoba at some point. When are you going Darren - Cheers Dave & Barbara

This is great. I’ve been to Malaga twice and wasn’t aware of the Camino route that starts there even though I’ve done the Camino Frances as far as Burgos and should have had my radar switched on for the familiar signage. I really like the fact that you didn’t see other people because on the Frances as I’m sure you’re well aware it’s almost a procession of folk and you get pretty tired of hearing the words Buen Camino as yet another group of cheerful young people pass and leave you in the wake of their dust! I suppose booking is essential for accommodation and you can’t just rock up and look for an albergue. I see that two sections have been uploaded so far and I look forward to any other footage you have.

Hi Ian, we have only done the first three days of the Mazarabe and then took the bus back to Malaga at the end of day 3. We are going to continue later in the year and try and complete the remaining 10 stages to Cordoba. Not sure from there as it then heads west to Merida where it joins the Camino Plata from Seville. I know what you mean in about the Frances, as it is very busy. A couple of years ago we did the Norte and I think I would recommend this as we really enjoyed it and there was about 10th or the people of the Frances. As an aside there is some great walking in and around Malaga - kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJe9oHiFhdN-aLM This is my favorite hike up Torrecilla, but has a 1000 meters of ascent. Happy hiking Ian - Dave & Barbara

Hi, I was wondering is this Camino good for a first timer.

I would say not Richard as there are just not enough people doing the walk. For me a Camino is about meeting people and for this reason I would always advise people to do the Camino Frances to start with. It's the most popular ( too popular for some ) but there is just so much to see. Buen Camino
