The last interview of Carlos Celdran in Madrid, Spain by Marco Pajo a freelance journalist and cameraman based in Europe. The interview happened last Sept 14, 2019, 21 days before he passed away. A lot of heroes throughout history had been persecuted, reduced to poverty or even killed because of what they fought for: Nelson Mandela imprisoned because he fought apartheid; Mother Teresa and her life of poverty and charity work; and Jesus Christ, whom the Pharisees successfully had executed because he pointed out their hypocrisies. As CC rightly pointed out, the RC Church in the Philippines is a big Damaso, and it really got back to him on it.

Carlos Celdran is the father of modern day awareness of Filipino heritage. He ignited the modern day Manila renaissance! Carlos was already educating us by walking around the Jones Bridge area before restoration efforts began a few weeks ago. It would have been nice had Carlos returned to at least witness what he’s been advocating for all these years. One of these days, there will be a statue of Carlos to symbolize his timeless contribution.

What? He lived in Madrid? The correct word would have been he "fled" to Madrid. Celdran was a convicted felon. His conviction was affirmed by no less than the Phililippine Supreme Court. He was convicted of a crime in the Philippine Codigo Penal in relation to a conduct he had performed so many years ago which constituted as a violation against religious feelings. He staged a mockery of the Catholic faith and its faithful right inside the historic Manila Cathedral. This man even wished the death of the Philippine president, Karma went back to him. Death took him and not Duterte.. Hahahhaa
