Have you considered to put mufflers on your fuel pump? ;)

Very nice.... love that it's a 4-door. I have a similar project that maybe I'll get to before I die. 69 GS. I was also going to go with a 430, but with 7.1BBC rods, Pro-tru .045" over AMC 401 pistons, Comp XE274H cam. Should end up around 9.5:1 at zero deck. Might have them give it a slight stroke when the crank is ground, depending on the deck height. I'm looking for 450hp with a 2500 stall and a 3.08-3.23 rear end gear for a street cruiser that can hit mid-low 12's. I'd like to go with Microsquirt EFI on it.

Your engine and exhaust combo sounds more than great, I can't wait to finish my 1969 Buick 430 project!! But you have to do something with the fuel pump that's soooooo loud.

Very nice build! I like the 4 door thing, way different! But, there way to many fuel pumps on the market that will do just as good or better job than the one you’re using, and won’t make nearly the same amount of noise. You can heat that thing coming down the street!

Very nice build. Stock, the 430 (now 442 cu in - .030 over) Buick put out 360 HP, 475 lb-ft of torque. I'm guessing this setup is pushing ~500 HP, 580 lb-ft. Very healthy for a 430. During the rebuild I hope Mr. Woodward here addressed the 430's somewhat weak oil passage issues.

@Trev0r982 жыл бұрын
@@KarmaBeABeach There is no "fix" for the 430's oiling issue. It's a GM design flaw of the block itself, "baked right in", so to speak. Oil galleys are too small.

430 bored .030" over = 442 cu. in. Nice. So that's not an Olds 442, it's a Buick "442" (I know, "Olds 442" doesn't mean engine displacement).

The cam is a Howard's Cam part # 558021-09 ($200 on Summit). Advertised Duration 281/289, Lift .501/.501. I'm not sure what springs I ended up going with. However, TA Performance has a ton of parts and knowledge on these old BOP engines.
