AAAAAAAAAAAH anything to do with the Evillious chronnicles and I am THERE.
I legitimately love this song, it really represents Allen's suffering for the mistakes he's made, even if not for his own cause.
If you are wondering, this song is a response to Servant of Evil, or more accurately Regret Message. It fits into the whole story anyway.

The first thing as I woke, I knew I was alone
I sat in the darkness of a black room on my own

At some point in time, if looking to the ceiling
A large hole had opened and through it I could see a spring

These are surely for the waves of blood that by my hands were needlessly spilled
Both my ankles are in chains of blue and somewhere in my heart I fear
This is surely the colour of somebody’s heartbroken tears
“Ru ri ra ru ri ra” I can hear a song somewhere up high
Yet I wonder who could be the one singing this lullaby?
There is no way to tell, how long I’ve been in here
I try to ask the spring that never moves from where I hear
The song that somebody sings a tune that’s simple and clear
A lullaby to heal my soul and feel that someone’s near
The day that I found out the meaning of the song
Though time has no meaning as it always carries on
A lullaby I was sure was meant for only me
And soon was given lyrics sharing what it truly means
From the opening came a new sight
Falling through darkness came a single floating light
Could it be the message you sent to me

The surroundings of the spring began to speak their words with a voice so strong
“It is not as though you are not being forgiven by those you have wronged.”
But the cries the ocean has received and the evil in all of your deeds

Arthur Kav LOL yes Allen did stuff just as bad. He killed people simply because he sister told him to, and that does not excuse his actions. He made the choice to kill, whether he was ordered to or not. There’s always a decision and so he had to bare responsibility for it. And, we don’t actually know if this is Allen or not as Mothy never stated. In Master of the Heavenly Yard tho there’s a section which seems to indicate that Allen is the one singing this.

Arthur Kav I will say tho, that Riliane’s actions shouldn’t be held against her because a demon was literally possessing her and she was likely insane by the time she became cruel enough to start ordering people’s death.

Ahhhhh, I love this so much! Your voice is amazing, and I absolutely adore these lyrics. The Story of Evil songs are probably my biggest weakness, I love them so much! And Re-Birthday has got to be my favorite song from that series-though servant of evil is a VERY close second. Do you happen to have a download link for this song somewhere? Does this song take place after Servant of Evil? I'm wondering because I think this is the servant paying for everything he had done in his life. It may sound crazy but it makes sense to me.

It takes place after regret message, I think.

It's what happens to the Servant (Allen) after he dies in Servant of Evil, and the lullaby he hears in the second verse is Rillaine singing in Regret Message. Also the "ru ri ru ra" melody (a common motif in the Evillious Chronicles) is also Rillaine singing

These events take place after another song called Capriccio Farce which is about 500 years after Regret Message. So Re_Birthday isn't part of the Story of Evil. It is connected though but very miniscule. Both Allen (Len) and Riliane (Rin) become reincarnated before this during a song called "Tailor Shop in Enbizaka." In fact Allen isn't part of this song but Irregular sings this, Irregular shares Allen's memories but both aren't the same person.

The character singing it (Irregular) has all Allen’s memories and Allen has already reincarnated before as Kokutan Douji thus its impossible to be a connection. The Evillious Chronicles is more confusing than you think and there are way more songs than people give it granted for.
