As promised, an update on the QR shipment: Ordered a QR from Spanish warehouse on 15/12/2023 . Site stated they would be in stock on 31/12 and shipped in 7-14 bussiness days. Received the QR on 25/01/2024. The qr has scratches on it, the included bolts have been used before. 6/10 experience because still dirt cheap.

For the price its incredible also i want everyone to know simagic and simucubes motors are also made in china. Fanatec made in asia. And many more done that way. It has to be done for cost. China can make good stuff and people should really realize that. Regardless im telling yall the cammus 12nm and 5nm are so good for the price. Not something I want to buy with what I already own but its good for people wanting to come in to sim racing on dd. Its better then belt driven thrustmaster and logitech bases regardless. The detail is there, rhe weight is there. Its kind of shocking. Now listen it isnt the quickest base or the most detailed ffb but imo it hss plenty. The issue is they have a built in dampening effect that you cannot take out. Thats the issue and you never know one day with software tney may fix that. Now listen yes it can have oscillations but most bases dd at the highest level do it a little now when people jaxk up to feel details. Nobody likes a dead wheel goinf straight where you feel nothing like the dd1 and dd2. Most people with higher settings have this happen anyways. Peoppe are starting to get used to having feeling in straight lines. But yes this thing does it a bit more then most. I do believe people have always made to big of a deal about oscillations because now most bases even how the manu makes them come that way they want you to feel details everywhere. But again this one is a bit to much. Imo the detail it picks up makes it do it more its picking up details where it shouldnt and then not pikcing uo details where it should. Nobody should expect perfection at this price though.

Hey, I ripped most of this comment from reddit but I figured it's relevant. For Simucube, the motor is manufactured by Lenze and it's made in Germany. Ans the electronic board is manufactured in Estonia by Simucube. With Simucube 2 Pro in raw options(lowest "smoothing" and low damper settings) the ffb is so dense so precise that you don't have oscillation. That's because of the encoder resolution and the torque frequency are so high thanks to their fast controller boards and chips. Oscillation in raw values happen because the base can't send enough signal to the motor in such short period that's why budget bases do that. Of course with the software algorithm and high damper you can eliminate oscillation on any base BUT more algorithm + damper = more vague more synthetic feeling that decrease the ffb fidelity. If you care such things then Simucube is the way to go. It's like listening music on top quality resolution source with audiophile level speakers and amplifier set vs a decent Spotify quality and a decent hi-fi set. Probably the vast majority wouldn't even notice the difference. Simagic bases use 240000 ppr hall sensors for position reading. Simucube has 4million ppr absolute encoder(same as VRS, Simplicity and Asetek) . I say all this is a Simagic owner, I'm happy with mine and think it's a great value. I wonder what the technical details for Cammus are?

What do you mean by "Nobody likes a dead wheel goinf straight where you feel nothing like the dd1 and dd2. Most people with higher settings have this happen anyways." I actually have a dd1 and I have tried to set it up so it's not as active when going straight. Wheels actually have tyres and I find it really weird to feel every little bump. Anyway I don't want to get into a debate. Everyone likes what they like. My question is, is every other wheel more active because I've been told the DD1 is one of the most active wheels and simucube is actually more subdued and it was for this reason I have been considering changing to it.

Had mine for 2 years. Never overheated once. Common thing I see, alot of people running them hot purely from clipping. The latest software improved the feel with more filters but it's always best to run them low because the more filters=heat.

Wait, Did you actually say that the official line from Cammus is not to use it for more than an hour at a time as it 'WILL' overheat. Sorry, But if a lump of Aluminium that size is getting that hot then it's a no go, If the outside is that hot then the inside and all the components must be hotter than the surface of the sun, And if Cammus are saying that it will overheat then they are selling something that has a known design flaw.

It says so in the manual... the cooling design is pretty shite but the base never turned itself off out of safety. Its still working and I have sometimes used it for 6h at once...

But if they put it in the manual, Then they think it could be a problem, So for 1, Why didn't they sort out the potential for overheating before bringing it to market, And for 2, Could they pull this out the hat down the line when some of these start to play up or burn out cos it says in the manual not to use it for more than an hour, There's a very good reason why they have put that in the manual, It's what that reason is. And come on, If you bought a car and it said in the manual not to drive more than 100 mile because it 'WILL' overheat, Not sure you would buy it, And you wouldn't recommend it to your mate. @@UnicornReviews

@reecereed8131 first page of manual: " When playing force feedback games, it is recommended that the game time is 60 minutes, with a 5-minute break every 20 minutes, and the playing time should not exceed 120 minutes."

Christ on a bike, That's even worse " When playing force feedback games", God forbid you would want to do that with a sim racing wheel, So they recommend that you technically have a game time of no more than 50 minutes out of the 60, And what are we supposed to do after 120 minutes, Shut down and go watch Love Island. Not getting at you for a good review, But that whole segment of the review and said statement in manual screams red flag and 'We have no trust in this thing'. @@UnicornReviews

it's a cover your ass type of statement, we have seen similar claims from the likes of simagic and their alpha mini with heating issues. get some air movement over it and you'll be fine. If they didn't say anything, if it got hot and failed they're fully liable. now it's on the customer to be responsible.@@reecereed8131
