The wheel started randomly rebooting during gameplay soon after filming this. I'm once again talking to Cammus support on their Discord. I'll update this with the outcome once everything is sorted out. Update: problems were fixed after clean install of cammus software. Cammus denies problems because of swapping between their wheels, but I can easily replicate problem by swapping between C12, C5 and 15

I might have a solution, but I'm not sure if you're having the same problem as I was. By reboot do you mean your wheel's settings going randomly to default?

I nearly bought the C5 when I was moving away from Fanatec, but I instead picked up a Moza R12. I still toy with moving over to Cammus for the value though, will have to see how the C12 will pan out.

My Cammus C12 should be arriving soon. I'm looking forward to trying it out. I have a C5 now and the LC100 pedals. The C% is probably the best wheel in that price range. Looking forward to the C12 12nM and the level of detail it will bring in this formfactor.

Hey, what’s up? What was your last wheel? I have a second hand t150, my first wheel, and I’m thinking of getting a C5, even thought the C12 is coming soon. I think a LC pedal kit would be better than a more expensive wheel with regular pedals.

I bought mine June 2023 and it comes with metal shifters.😂😂. You need to open the cammus software to make the speedo and shift light work.

I love my C5 and its pretty easy to replace the shifters there's a screw pin holding them in and i seen somewhere you can upgrade them for magnetic ones

Great wheel, apart from my broken shifter paddles after only 2 months of normal usage, like 3/4 hours a week on ACC.

It's not only 5nm. It has constant 5nm and being able to reach peaks of 7nm.

7:45 wait so now instead of fixing the fatal design flaw they just include the additional pair of those crappy plastic paddle shifters as an replacement when you inevitably break em? lmao. I was considering to buy it but gave up after seeing how the reddit is flooded with reports of paddle shifters breaking off after a few weeks of using them. thanks for the informative review though.

Yea its mind boggling since they used to ship the c5 with metal shifters. Mine bought june 2023 and it is metal.

I got this wheel, but no matter what settings, i can not get it to spin back to centre like yours, does any one know how it can be fixed ?

Have you set the center in software?

@@UnicornReviews Yes, its better now, Thanks,,, now that i have set the settings for drift to turn off the hand protection for beginners, its much better in returning the wheel to the centre. You do have to restart a few time to make a difference. Un fortunately, the shifter broke.. The plastic paddles that are made of plastic will brake for sure. Its plastic and they did not give it any reinforcements. I had to put ( glued ) a piece of wood to support the shifter. If anyone who plays the wheel often, the shifter will brake. Most other brand's shifter paddles should be made of metal. All in all , its a good wheel for the price, but for drifting, i think there are better wheels. The grip on my Thrustmaster T300RS feels much better, and the Cammus C5 wheel should be round.. There is no need to buy a belt drive at this point seeing that they are at the same price. I have and still own a Logetech and Thrustmaster entry wheel, but there is still this belt drive that you feel every time you turn the wheel,, by far, this ( Cammus C5 )does not have and it gives a better feeling. But as for detail and feel, i find that my Thrustmaster have better feeling even though it has a belt connected to the wheel. I think Cammus needs to improve their software.

in the end its only 60 € diference if you go with fanatec shiping coast is insane cammus bundle 413€ VS fanatec CSL DD 472 € so sad.... from spain to portugal i have to pay 80€ of shiping insane... my question is why does cammus making money with shiping coasts?

That's their way of keeping the OSTENSIBLY price down. Cammus RELIES on most of their reviewers not being intelligent?/diligent/(.....or decent?) enough to explicate that the "warehouse prices" only are possible by conciling VAT in the shipping costs. I have seen/read a LOT of reviews of the Cammus c5 and c12 - "Unicorn Review"s explicit mentioning of the always "shipping-but-MOSTLY-VAT" ACTUAL price [in the recent c12 review, I think], is really applaudable ! :-)

For anyone considering the Cammus C5 - Please do your homework. The product is cheap, but their service and support is terrible. My C5 has broken bearings after less than 1 week of use. Almost 1 month later and Cammus have been very difficult to deal with. Reddit is full of users with similar experiences - As I said - do you homework.

@@DxrthKrypton That's up to you. My replacement unit arrived after a few weeks, and it has been working well since. However, the software is terrible, but I've heard similar complaints about other brands, so I guess its anyones guess.

Even if it was the best wheel out there it looks ridiculous
