Hey cammy, at 7:00 u said xbox symbol = guaranteed controller chap. But the reality is there are a lot of console (xbox and playstation alike) users out there using dongles and what not, while on console, having that controller aim assist while using m&k. And not to mention chronus as well. What are your toughts on this?

The interesting thing with this map being up in the rotation is how you can really appreciate how much of an improvement things are with no 3rd person peeking. This map was such a snoozer when everyone would take turns saying "yep sniper down this lane, yep, he's over there, he's gonna try to flan, back off, take shot if you can etc" and then it would just turn to a boring slap fight when sudden death timer kicks in. It was just a big waiting game for someone to fuck up as people 3rd person all the angles. Bungie did good making it capture the point to force more movement and allow people to prevail being way more aggressive than just the boring passive lane play. I honestly cannot remember the last time I've played Elimination/Trials where I just went ham with way more aggressive of a build. That at least is the only way I can describe as to why Endless Vale this week "felt different" compared to other weeks.

I've been trying to play with last word. It's not bad but it feels like purposefully taking a punishment for the sake of feeling like a badass. I've only had a few 3 taps but all of them felt great. Feels like my ability to understand the game has improved in a general sense because I don't feel like I can challenge lanes with multiple players. It causes me to attempt understanding where everyone is so I can get a 1v1 scenario. At least that's my thoughts so far

try sensitivity 7 (not too high, not too low, some people prefer 3, 2, or 1, I personally think that's too low, but to some it helps their tracking especially if they are not used to last word's hip fire speed... if you use last word, do something similar to what cammy cakes does (sniper last word.) for tips with the sniper... don't go for headshots if you don't feel confident on getting them, just go for the body, think of the sniper as an extention of your range -. - from afar you put a lot of damage, and if they get close for comfort, you have the ease that you can just go for a body shot, and instaswap to the last word for the clean up. last word kills in one headshot from a body shot sniper if they get too close, it's like a pseudo shotgun-melee sequence, but instead it's body shot sniper, last word headshot. it's a build to counter people rushing at you, if they are running towards you, just snipe, swap last word. (or just stay with the last word and backpedal as you shoot when they aproach.) also... another thing... for controller... I can't tell you how much it depends on the sensitivity you're running. but... when the last word starts to kick when you activate fan fire... sort of... gently move the aiming stick down as the last word kicks up, control it with the recoil. think of it like controlling the kick on an smg, except.. it's completely vertical, so you just have to gently go down as the word goes up. (it's the exact same recoil every time.) for practice, try aiming at a wall see a point in the wall, align to the point, press the trigger, and as the word kicks up, aim slightly, very slightly down, just enough so you stay on point. keep it held, and adjust a bit less or more to stay on point. (it's always the exact same recoil. on sensitivity seven, it's like a quarter, maybe a bit less, of the stick down... also it's always gonna be recoiling up so you always adjust down, no side ways to worry about unless the target is moving side ways.) if you feel you're falling off target adjust further down, . (it's just reaction, you simply have too measure... and... aim with the last word... around the chest, think shoulder length, the bullets will find the mark at the head at that height.) and if you get tired of correcting the kick out of hard angles, stop shooting, readjust to a comfortable position. try to line it up, so that you. only worry of up and down as you shoot. use your other stick to help you line it up vertically. and then just let the trigger go full speed at that point... however eventually as you get comfortable, you will be able to track them as they are moving in different directions, try pacing your shots on targets moving sideways to not miss/waste bullets/ or end up putting yourself in a precarious situation... next to your opponent and out of ammo. let the trigger go full auto when they are lined up vertically and aim at shoulder length. remember to back pedal as you shoot when they are running straight at you... use your sniper if they are too far away, remember to go for body shots, specially if it's your final bullet, unless you're sure you can get the headshot. At medium range, use your sniper to prime them and just go for the body if they are medium range, lucky pants extends your range when pulling the word out as well as it improves target aquisition, so you don't have to worry of not being able to follow up... same rules apply if they are too far away, the farther they are away the lower you want to aim at their body. (if they are close but not point blank- shoulder range, point blank- aim at the neck, farther than that, go for the chest. hope this helps, last word is the gun I've used most since destiny one, I think I know a thing or two about it -, - also... one more thing... you should feel like aiming without having to ads... never ads with the last word, you plumet your damage, the kick becomes worse and starts going sideways, you somehow lose range, its generally not a good idea. good luck.)

I've been getting fairly reliable 3 taps, but I just feel like it's as you said. I'm punishing myself to have more fun. And to me, the tiniest bump in aim assist would fix this problem, because I personally have better hipfire aim than ADS aim (not joking) but sometimes this gun just takes an abnormal amount of reaction time to get consistent 3 taps when taking into account people sliding/jumping/etc. I've gotten better at strafing/positioning to stop the flinch problem, but the gun still feels punishing when it shouldn't. Sure, I've won 3 duels in a row to clutch a 1v3 round with two 3-taps and a 2 head 2 body (as a goldie hunter with LW against a titan with thorn.... I think I had lore privilege rather than skill that time honestly), but more often than not I just feel like I'm putting in 6 times the work as anyone else to achieve the same thing. Especially when I'm fighting a DMT player. At least I can't get DMT right now since I don't own an outdated season pass so I have some excuse to continue to use what should be my favorite gun in the entire game. It did help my game sense and general skill a lot to use the weapon for a while and really commit to it, but when I swapped back to something else I just instantly performed significantly better with less effort (but just as good of positioning/etc as a result of the LW usage).

You've got to grab teammates. If you find a good teammate here or there, add them and stack. I wouldn't recommend LFGing, but if you can grab a clan, you can vibe in the PVP channel, see the people who are most knowledgable, and try to team with them. You can only really expect flawless soloqueuing in trials if you are confidant enough that you can carry your team 7/8 games (mercy). For me, this meant running a heavily control based build. Cammy uses top tether to this goal, I used stasis warlock specifically to use the walls to block off corridors on cauldon (the map during freelance week). I also love ahamkara spine tripmines as this give you very heavy damage area control. You can take top goldie for the tripmine knives for the same purpose, or bottom for better ult charge.

Go for body shots every so often specially when you have one bullet left and can't risk missing, it will give you confidence in your shot, apply pressure, and ensure you aren't wasting damage, also you can do body shot clean ups with any handcannon to the head (kind of like bow handcannon, but instead of going for two headshots you go body shot, headhshot, with the chance of just going for a headshot to outright win at long ranges.) lucky pants helps the instaswap clean up, but you can also run dexterity mods

What are your thoughts on DS/wraithmetal mail rather than lucky pants? If you're running high enough mobility with double utility kickstart, WMM runs out like a second before your dodge is up, so your uptime on wraithmetal mail can be extremely high and give you max handling on everything
