To achieve orbit, when you are going upwards, you slightly go off of vertical to go with the earth's rotation so when you do hit orbit you have speed to keep circling. Remember KSP? all your knowledge from that may work here

The rings aren’t Observation rings, there Gravity rings which make artificial gravity. It doesn’t work in game but looks cool.

Not really close enough, but you can say you made it into space. Without a way to see your Apoapsis/Periapsis it would be very difficult to achieve an orbit of any kind. My guess is that the moment the ship started flipping on its own in space, you had achieved Apoapsis. You achieved weightlessness the same way they train astronauts via falling from high altitude at terminal velocity. I am not sure how the physics are being applied in Stormworks for gravity in this case so I am not sure that achieving orbit is even possible. Rockets take off vertical but turn up to nearly 45 degrees as they climb into space, then at the desired Apoapsis they turn 90 degrees and burn into a circular orbit. You are trying to go fast enough that you no longer fall towards the planet. Again I am not sure how Stormworks has gravity applied, so you could just simply need to reach a certain height to be considered in orbit. In reality you are always under the constraints of gravity in one form or another. Earth, moon, sun, etc. How you apply your momentum affects how different gravities are applied.

Hi Camodo gaming, I have a video idea. A realistic launch and landing. For, the launch you will ideally what to go into orbit. For that you will have to launch normally and then slowly turn horizontal. That how you do the launch bit. For a landing you will want an escape capsule for you to land safely to Earth, and let the space station fall and be destroyed. Or you could die with the station, you choose.
