My Grandparents live on a hill overlooking Cape Cod Bay and I saw a cutter of this class transitioning through the bay into the Canal.

This is the Treasury-class cutter, named for the Treasury Department which founded the Revenue Cutter Service and the Lighthouse Service in 1790. (Thank Alexander Hamilton for saving lives for 218 years! This wasn’t mentioned in the musical for some reason.) Then in the 1840s people along the eastern seaboard founded humane societies, which are now associated with saving animals, but back then they had enough trouble saving people from shipwrecks. They established stations along the shores and had them manned by a crew. See “The Golden Boys” movie to see a fictionallized example of a rescue off Cape Cod. Eventually they joined together into the Treasury Department’s US Lifesaving Service. Then in 1918 all three branches combined into the US Coast Guard. Happy 100 years to the US Coast Guard!

fun fact. I've been in a abandon sea fort before when i went on vacation to Maine for the 4th of july. it was cool and a bit spooky but it felt safe even with all the bird poop everywhere.

As a man who watches way too man urban exploration videos, the ability to turn a simple build and rescue game into horror survival is amazing. Minecraft did something like it with Enderman except it was modded based on Slender: The 8 Pages. Very impressive gameplay for a decently made game. Ya got my sub 👍

They can also lose power before sinking. Maybe adding components that fail when getting in touch with water or submerged would work and make water tight compartments especially useful.
