Steri strips are the bees knees and way better then butterfly bandaids. However you can make a steri strip by using the white cloth medical tape and twisting it in the middle and leaving the ends still sticky and not twisted. Works just as good as steri strips.

Always carry black pepper. if wounded and bleeding profusely it will coagulate very quickly. It will clean and it's properties will allow for minimal scarring. --- (I've had my shares...) Works great!

You do not have a way to close an open wound? Tis Tis. Butterfly closures take up very little room. That flint sure is sharp. Flint actually has the ability to be sharper than steel. Some surgeons use flint for scalpels even today.

lol, the world is held together by duct tape, huh;) butterfly sutures or steri-strips would be a good idea, but failing that you actually did a pretty good job. i would have sealed it entirely though(smaller pad, or folded up the alcowipe a bit tighter) to support the wound a bit better though;D

Man that cut on your leg really got to me, especially how it's on your leg, it reminded me of my self inflicted leg injury with a machete. I loved how you were calm in a situation like that. I'm not saying that I would have been freaking out but just seeing any kind of new laceration,(especially on the leg) makes me uneasy. Anyways keep up the good work!

I carry a med stapler in my kit but cyanoacrylate adhesive would have done a great job on that wound. If you are not allergic to iodine it makes a great piece of kit for medical, cosmetic and water purification needs. Cyanoacrylate is commonly called super glue, crazy glue, instant glue, etc. It also stops bleeding and can be used to stuff a bad dental filling on a temporary basis and applied to a sleeping bag zipper fuck up someone's life in the bush. Super glue and iodine, the medical secret the Medical Industrial Complex doesn't want you to now about...
