Cool, so they implemented the best part of the game as a time limited cash grab, and made it burn the resources needed to play the real campaigns. Adding in that the DG abilities are awful vs mechs and the fact we now could just as easily had admech vs nids? Sounds like it’s time to take another break from tacticus, sad because I bought the ultimate pass last month because I liked where it looked like things were going with the red gobo stuff.

What are they selling during this event? Is it possible to get the final crates without spend? Thinking about survival here where for 99.99% of players crate 25 is the most you can get without spend, but crates 26-30 have more value than the first 25 combined. edit: I see that they will sell you the main 3 after beating the normal...what else though?

The normal campaigns are staying however it looks like this might be how they introduce new campaigns in the future

What’s bothering me is that it looks like you can’t farm for shards of characters you haven’t already unlocked. They don’t show the shard with the die symbol above it, so it seems like there’s nothing to be gained by going back after the initial play through. That would be a huge difference with the standard campaigns.

That's actually a bug which SP mentioned on the games Discord server. Hopefully it will be fixed soon

Nox, one question, are you also forced to use corrodius maladus and pestilian on the extremis campaigns? or is limited to only (for this campaign) wold eaters and death guard?

You have to deploy those three until you earn 3 medals on a battle. Then you can deploy any DG or WE.

I have not got Pestilian, so that will be rough. I hope they do mechanicus next, but after that either tyranids or gene stealer cult.

Yeah i was thinking tyranids could use their own campaign, but then i thought about it and i figured that campaigns are not just another way to farm items, but also do tell a story about a part of wh40k lore, and i imagine that might be hard with what are essentially speechless bugs, but genestealer cults could be used to do that, while allowing tyranid characters to be used alongside them in the campaign battles, just an idea

Let's be honest here. The only reason SP don't want to create new standard campaigns is that they can't monetize them. This campaign event is hot garbage, not only we not getting much needed new farm spots for new upgrades but this event use energy instead of tokens. It's a cash grab, pure and simple. I like Tacticus but they are building game economy specifically around whales.

Exactly no new farm spot.with more factions coming, our standards campaign is getting fill up pretty quickly. Once event drop 100% will have bunch packages characters, energy, bs ,scrolls.

This is an interesting point and i will admit I didn't think of this. You are right this means we are stuck with our existing nodes and no new choices for farms. It will be very interesting what happens for the next new faction if/when we get one

The campaigns will be selectable incursion style each month so if you want to continue on with mech you can, I will be spending $0 and should be able to complete the basic mode, like elite campaigns if I want better drop rates I need a stronger team than s1, the only difference is it's time limited each month. I don't spend money on incursions either, I think people are overreacting to something they haven't even tried yet

Another thing I think is worth pointing out is that another campaign like saim hann would probably take 6 months to be finished including mirror elite, in that time they could make all the ungrindable stuff grindable in a limited capacity instead of only death guard and mech

Space Wolves vs. World Eaters would make for a cool campaign, and a good opportunity to introduce the last world eater and Bjorn. :-) or space wolves vs tyranids, or space wolves vs. Dark Angels..... :)

I actually like this kind of campaign. The fact you don't need 3 arbitrary picked characters _(buy your packs right here!)_ before you are even *allowed* to play the campaign already puts it miles above the legacy format in my eyes.

You don't need typhus. It's corrodius, pestillian and maladus. However even if you don't have them you can borrow them and still play

Starting to hate this developer/ game. Such a shame every single they do revolves around making as much money as possible. Plus timing is aweful. They release an event to farm salvage then release another event so you can only do one or the other. Bloody frustrating
