Campaigning starts in France after President Macron's snap election | BBC News

Campaigning for the French general election has kicked off, after President Emmanuel Macron called a snap election following victory for his rival Marine Le Pen's National Rally in the European Parliament vote.
The French political picture consists of the newly formed New Popular Front on the Left, the National Rally on the Right, and in the Centre President Macron and his allies.
The elections are conducted over two rounds, beginning on 30 June. The next round is on 7 July.

In France, the far left exists, but are revolutionary and while they present candidates to elections they do not believe in the election (and do no even try to win) but only in the proletariat's revolution. Due to this position they only get around 1%. But like 20 years ago (in the 2002 elections) they were around 10%. In France "far right" and "far left" are well defined, but due to the total lack of politcal impact of the far left media rarely talk about them except when they are obliged

Europe is getting sick of being the dumping ground for people coming from cutures that have a History of intolerance.Its not like Europeans can move to these peoples countries and enjoy the same benefits.When in history did these other countries help us out in times of need, never.They look after their own interests and so should we . Or the Europeans will have the will to resist the invasion and defend their culture, so they will arrive, proving the vitality of their civilization. Or else they will not have this will, ipso facto consenting to their disappearance as a culture. Some, at the moment a very small minority, are already showing masochistic consent to this perspective. But if so, it will be a deserved fate. No one can be saved if they no longer have much will to live. A curious and encouraging phenomenon in France and, I suppose, elsewhere. A small but very solid and determined % of our fellow citizens from non-European immigration, generally with a good level of education even when their parent was from a very modest background, have truly adhered to the culture of the country where they were born and its values. They are extremely aware of what it has brought them and are totally determined to defend it, women even more than men. They are often more resolute than the average native French person because, unlike the latter, they were not content to passively inherit the country but they lucidly adhered to it. Obviously, Muslim fundamentalists hate them even more than they hate indigenous Westerners. They remind me of these small groups of Germans of antiquity which the Romans admitted crossed the limes, settled and provided soldiers, romanized by the Legion and their children from the outset. Without them, the Roman Empire would have lasted several centuries less.

The lurch to the right in the recent European elections is principally down to one thing: mass immigration, both illegal _and_ legal. Most people seem to have no real problem with strictly controlled targeted immigration, but the numbers we have seen (700,000 in the UK year on year) seem unsustainable, not only from an infrastructure point of view, but quite simply from a cultural point of view. Of course, Islam is the _real_ elephant in the room in this whole debate. It’s amazing how willing liberal democratic Europe has been and continues to be in accepting millions of individuals upholding ideas diametrically opposed to liberal democracy. When Sweden is projected to be a full 30% Islamic within 20 years, we can predict some rather interesting times ahead for Europe.
