I bought a Campark T100 trailcam 3-4 years ago. I still use it regularly and like it so much I wanted a second one. But today I bought one of these (the TC06) on Amazon on a Black Friday Offer. I couldn't believe the specs or the claims although I should have, considering what the T100 could do and it's 4 years old. This video confirms most of the claims for the TC06, so I can't wait to get it. Thankyou for doing the video. By the way, I certainly don't mind the switch to infrared mode at night-time, even if the advertising might lead one to believe that you can get color pictures all night. The infrared videos are sharp and look good on their own.

In fact, less than 10mins after watching your video above I went to eBay, and bought one for £115 [I think that is currently around $138 US] including Tax and delivery to me here in the UK. I should get it in 3 days time [they have a depot here, and have already marked it as sent] and I am looking forward to it arriving. Now I have to buy another SD card and some batteries ...

Thank you. Another reason for dual lens is to optimize the lens and sensor for day or night. The settings you used for video and photos would be helpful. Often the higher pixel setting has a lower frame rate in some cameras. My wired camera setup also has low lux color. I try to disable it because the sharpness is reduced.

Great channel! I have watched several of your thorough reviews prior to making my purchases of trail cameras, in fact I bought two of these Campark TC06 through Amazon UK on the strength of this review. I have however returned one of them due to a quality control issue that may not have been evident on your testing. One of the two cameras I purchased suffered from lens fogging which made the 60MP image completely irrelevant. Secondly, the camera is fitted with two horizontal, extremely bright red, highly visible LEDs which illuminate on nighttime activation. They have the appearance of two menacing red eyes which immediately alert wildlife (and humans) to the presence of the camera. This is NOT a covert camera for nighttime use. I posted photographs on the Amazon UK review page for this camera. Since posting a 3-star review, Campark have pestered me and offered me money, asking for me to amend or delete my honest review.

Bought this for early Christmas gift for myself. Watched your video and I'd agree that it has a wider field of view then a cheaper camera I have with much better video. The night time is really crisp also. I got mine for only $100 after coupon on Amazon but while looking at the Campark site they were selling it for that anyway. I tried setting up the wifi but I'm not sure what I did wrong and I couldn't see it in the list of devices. I read somewhere about going into airplane mode but not sure about that. It's not a problem for me as I'm not going to use it anyway. I'm using mine for bird watching in the backyard though I noticed the half day I had it out there it didn't get many videos and missed a nice big Red-bellied Woodpecker that landed almost in front of it so not sure what happen there. Doing my first full day and night with it today and we shall see how good it is at catching bird on video. I live in Maine so we shall also see how this does in real cold and sometimes really lousy weather. I'm looking right now to see if it has a security box that might fit it as I noticed the rain pooled in the IR sensor ports and the camera tends to tip it up because of the lower bracket and hoping the box would solve this and keep the rain off the lenses as they were wet also.
@HuntingFarmerOfficial2 жыл бұрын
There is a sensitivity setting for the PIR sensor (I believe medium is default). You could bump that up to high and see if that helps. Also mounting angle can play a big role in capture distance/sensitivity.

@@HuntingFarmerOfficial I have the PRI setting on H and the delay set to 5 sec and still minimal amount of video. I sent a email to support to see if there was a way to get the delay so I could set it to 0 right now lowest is 5 seconds and that's way to long for birds coming to feeders. Birds move so fast you really need the least amount of camera delay you can get. I have a Meidase P60 Trail Camera set to no delay PRI on H and response .1sec and I can get 200 to 1,000 videos a day depending time of year and wind issues. I do have a lot of shots because of wind but I'm more interested in getting everything then battery life which averages about a week for 8 energizer alkaline batteries. I saw your review on the cheap Tasco cameras which illustrated my issue with this the Campark and why the cheaper Meidase is doing better I think. I really love the video and I really want it for easier ID of birds and it just is way better.

I would rather have crisp, black and white video, than grainy, color video. 4k files are large and can fill up a card fast. Most computer screens are 1080p resolution anyway, so the only advantage to 4k is if you are watching it on a 4k screen or you want to zoom in during editing the video and still have good resolution. I like 1080p 60 frames because it gives much smoother daytime video, especially if you want to slow the video down that has captured an animal running by for example. Due to light gathering at night time, I think the cameras I use automatically go down to 30 frames at night so you don't get the smooth night video in slow motion editing. Your video is from last year. Are the Camparks still holding up? I run cameras year around to monitor for antler growth, trespassers, etc. Usually get about 3 years out of camera before it starts going bad from so much exposure to the weather. Thanks for sharing.

Goodnight. I did the firmware update on my TC06 and it was very easy. I used a Sandisk Ultra 64GB memory card. Please refer to the following to update the camera: 1. Format the SD card on your campark TC06. 2. Copy the file "FW96670A.bin" to the formatted memory card. Note: Do not change the name of the file. 3. Lock the SD card before inserting it. 4. Put the memory card and 8AA batteries into the camera to turn on the camera. 5. Slide the Mode button to SETUP until the red light stops flashing. 6. Unlock the SD card and format the card for reuse. The update was fast, I'd say less than 2 minute. After updating, the camera automatically resets to the factory defaults on the screen, asking to do the configuration. Remember to configure the camera again, as everything is lost. Regards, Erik

This might sound a little bit silly, but have you thought of setting up a tiny little set of solar Christmas lights (white ones) high up in a tree to keep your color vision at night? Out of frame from the camera, but giving a bit of light for the camera sensor to work from. It should also keep the insects away from your trail cam footage. Maybe wrap some electrical tape around half of them, to just add a tiny bit of light to the scene? It'd be a cheap test at least.

Luckily, last night the two deer I am watching (plus a family of 5 raccoons, 2 possums, 1 groundhog, and my cat) showed up crystal clear. I think this cam may not be quite as sensitive to trigger the PIR as another cam or two I have though, even on high sensitivity. What firmware version is your update now?? Something i don't understand: the manual and manufacturer website both say it has a 13MP sensor (Sony IMX458), so how can it possibly take higher than sensor's resolution photos (60/52/48/36 or 24MP) ? Also, it is advertised at 4K 60MP, but you have to carefully read the manual to discover that it is only in daylight mode. In night mode it is limited to 1080p video and 8MP photos, which is much lower.

I bought a faulty trail camera from campark and this has been my experience trying to return it. I messaged them and told them the issues. (They have no contact phone number so it all has to be done by email) They said you have to run test on it first to determine it’s faulty. I told them I have been for three weeks already I been trying everything I can to see how I can get it to work reliably and it’s malfunctioning constantly. They said I can’t return it until they determine it’s faulty first. So they have me do test but the test they have me do is not the issue and they still won’t recognize it as being faulty after another two weeks of running more test on it and not working reliably. I can’t call them, I have to wait until they respond and I feel like I’m dealing with an AI operator because the response is so robotic. I’m tired of dealing with them, they should be the once working out the bugs not me. I’ve never ran across this when returning a faulty product with any other company. The camera is no good it’s going in the garbage and I’m never buying from them again.

Hi Dave, what a fantastic, enthusiastic and unbiased review of what looks to be a real beast of a trail camera at this price point. In your explanation near the beginning of the review, you mentioned video resolution, hd and 4K, did you say that the camera only records hd on the nighttime footage?? or can you use the 4K option at night ?? and if so, for what duration of time ? I only ask this question as I have a browning camera and it only supports a 20 second video during nighttime whereas the option for longer videos aren’t an issue during the day. Thank you for sharing, I think I may be investing in this camera subject to your answers. Thank you once again, Phil🇬🇧

@@HuntingFarmerOfficial Thank you so much for your most informative reply. I think I got the vibes from you about the video capabilities of the TC06, and the 1080p nighttime footage is only a minor minus really. The fact that the video looks so good and with a longer video recording option at night has clinched it for me. I know you had an issue with audio sync, but after your firmware update, all good, actually, from another KZbinr, my backyard birding, he commented that the audio from the TC06 was as good if not better than anything he’d used or tested. Hello Thanks for your video. I bought this same camera and in the evening there are only 2 LEDs that light up. Do you think there are only 2 LEDs 850 or only 2 of 850 and the rest 940 Invisible LEDs. I've had other cameras where you could see all the LEDs. 😉 A wink from France Bonjour Merci pour votre vidéo.

There are only two IR lights on this model. They are high intensity and work well 👍

will this camera work with 4g or 5g wifi?
@HuntingFarmerOfficial Жыл бұрын
No. The camera produces a WiFi hotspot that your phone connects to. The WiFi option is very limited

Our audio is defective and we are so disappointed with the company's Customer "Service". Truly awful. Only via email and their responses would be non-related to the issue. Then they were closed for 5 days. So, now we are getting close to the 30 days, despite starting this request to return 3 weeks ago. We sent them a video and they agree it's defective, so now they want to send us a T85 with $20 credit. NO! We want a functioning T06. Plus we have this solar panel that we are stuck with now. I do not know why they are refusing to replace or refund, but now they are "closed for the weekend". So, maybe they're just blowing us off until our 30 days is up and then will tell us too late. Such a shame. We really enjoyed the other one we had, but cannot deal with this company again.

The best setup for the day is 2K6/60P I think. We have better slowdowns. She's better than my Browning anyway. @6:50 kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5emiXajbJesepY Browning Spec OPS (Cam1) VS Campark T-06 (Cam2)

Good Morning. I come to talk about my experience with the June 2022 firmware after I changed my memory card. I used the Sandisk Extreme 64GB u3 v30 microSD card with SD adapter and the camera behaved with several configuration errors, the same for the Sandisk Extreme PRO 128GB u3 v30 microSD card with SD adapter. I bought a Sandisk SD 128 Extreme u3 v30 card and the problems were solved, the camera saved the settings and let it record in 4K, remembering that this card is SD and not microSD. The camera does not support microSD cards using an SD adapter, here's a tip for everyone. I'm still waiting for a reply from campartk if I can update the August firmware with Sandisk Ultra 64GB SD card. When I get a response from campark about the firmware update, I'll edit this comment. Regards. Erik

Got my tc06 earlier this week to only find out all my day time footage is pink.... pretty disappointing especially after taking the chance to give this new company a try. Very unpleasant

That’s disappointing. I’m sure Campark will stand behind it. Sounds to me like an issue with the IR filter. Make sure you have high quality batteries. Low battery power can cause IR filter issues. Many people will have new batteries but if they are low quality it’s possible that they still give problems. I also highly recommend using 8 batteries vs 4 👍

@HuntingFarmer I slapped in a brand new energizer lithiums in the camera so shouldn't have happened. But spoked to campark and they will be sending me a new upgraded version. Sounds like they might be having issues with that cam
