This video should have way more views. I am a senior RN working in Aged Care - we are having quite a few new grads coming into Aged Care & I will be referring them to your channel to help them understand some of these conditions. You have a gift for making complex concepts easy to understand. Thank you

A very relevant subject. My Vascular Surgeon told me after my pre-med that my heart scan indicated that the operations were dangerous because I have an old, floppy and enlarged heart. One of my valves is not allowing my heart to pump properly. This comes after two decades of PVD, a decade of COPD. A minor trauma to the toes of which one toe had bared bone. Low blood platelets were discovered and Podiatry after a year of weekly care. Advised me the toe had gone past the point of recovery and hospital admission was within a month. Fortunately your videos of Hypertension started and now you indicated a possible 2-8 years more with your first heart video Thank you for the detailed development possibilities. I will call my doctor to discover if my Potassium levels are ok and if he was aware of my heart and liver scans that were ordered by my haematologist. Thanks for caring Stay safe.

58 year old male Pt diagnosed with EF of 30 5 years ago during an acute exacerbation at emergency department. Has not seen cardiologist or primary care physician in 4 years. 100 % Medication noncompliance . Apx 10 months ago began slow roll down hill. Currently suffering from bouts of PND, shortness of breath at complete rest, inability to sleep for longer than couple hours, severe stomach pressure/pain/discomfort, swollen feet ankles, zero energy to move around beyond home, hasn’t laid flat in apx 6 months bc of severe discomfort shortness of breath, appetite cut in more than half, has trouble regulating comfortable temp ( cold -hot) pt will take half diuretic apx twice per week. Any thoughts advice? Does this sound like mere over congestion or should the discussion of palliative care be had?

When you say left or right are you talking about from the patient perspective or from the viewing perspective of physician? Is it my left or your left?
@Campbellteaching
@Campbellteaching 5 жыл бұрын
Its always for the patient, so left is on my left in this case, right as you look at the screen

@@Campbellteaching my brother was diagnosed with genetic aortic bicuspid valve disease when he was 44 he passed away six years later and I'm afraid that I may have it as well but don't know how I go about being tested
@Campbellteaching
@Campbellteaching 5 жыл бұрын
Can you get a referral to a cardiologist or genetics consultant, this would be the best way forward. There are many tests they could do which hopefully can give you reassurance. Also, clarify if your brothers condition was genetic or congenital? Im sorry for the loss of your brother.@@prettybird2588
