I have irregular heart rate and its scared me so much...There was the time when Im walking for only 5 minutes my heart rate is 130 and if i go up on the stairs it goes to 145-162 but does down when i sit down for couple of minutes...Is it normal to have a heart rate 55-59?i have an apple watch and when i get up in the morning i can see my heart rate is 55-59😢...I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and taking my medication everyday...Since i started my medication i experiencing this chest discomfort or breathless😥
@PrintOfLife3 жыл бұрын
Often machines can not pick up accurate heart rate and blood pressure with afib. What and how you feel is the most important not the number you see from any machines. Your chest discomfort is not normal so you should see your primary care physician or your Cardiologist.

I have the exact same thing & have been diagnosed with POTS. Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Sydrome. My resting heart rate is 55-60. On standing upright (& remaining still not moving) it immediately goes up to 130-160. Pots is an increase in hr from sitting to standing of more than 30 beats within 10 mins I think...could be less but bc mine happens immediately I’ve forgotten that bit. There is plenty of info on Facebook groups or Potsies charities. Hope this helps you either rule it in or rule it out.

My heart has been acting up for a several years now, ever since April 2016 tick bite delivering more Lyme disease & coinfections… finally close to getting PSVT diagnosis after wearing holter 30 days. PAT/PSVT/SVT/ST listed on the report. I guess PAT = PSVT? If it’s the same, why do they list PAT for some events and PSVT for some events and SVT for some events? So confusing! Sometimes I don’t feel any symptoms but the unit captured the event automatically, other times I got the symptoms of SOB & sudden weakness, head pressure, lightheaded, dizzy, etc during an episode and sometimes for hours afterwards I am very pale and incredibly weak… and other times I got symptoms but the unit said normal rhythm… I wonder why this is? I wish I could figure this out. Drs have said for years I am a medical conundrum.. not what I’d like to hear. I wish they could exactly figure out symptoms and offer a treatment that works. I’ve been taking antibiotics and herbals for the tick diseases since May 2016. I get improvement, stop meds and everything comes back within 2 weeks to 2 months usually. Once I had nearly 9 months symptom free before they came back hard. TBDs nearly killed me several times so to just deal with it off meds is not an option.
