🎉🎉 Yay. You did a great job despite all the challanges, rotten wood, sagging roof, etc. It is a pitty the person who sold it to you wasn't transparent. I think 4thousand dollars was too much now that "we" know everything that was wrong, lol. And you said it was headed to the dump. The previous owner couldnt wait to get it off his hands and even delivered it. Without disclosing the problems. But, you persevered and made your caravan cottage looks lovely in the end. It looks amazing and you can be proud of what you achieved. Well done. 👍👍 Your neighbour is sweet for popping buy daily to check in on you. Enjoy your new space. 🎉

Just a heads up for if there's a next time. Camper showers are made in a way that they're not supposed to be caulked. If they're caulked any condensation or other wetness that gets behind the panels can't escape. Wild to think but its true. We learned it upon buying our own camper.

Recomendation: if you look in youtube on how to create "fiber glass for cheap", it'll water proof your roof. Hope that helps. :)
@millicanmission6 ай бұрын
Fiberglass will crack on the roof. That's why they use flexible materials. There is a PVC membrane that works well.
@n8rlvr8766 ай бұрын
@@millicanmissionmy current camper has a one piece fiberglass roof, and all aluminum frame. One thing about a fiberglass crack is it’s easy to repair, imo. My previous RV had the full rubber roof, it has its advantages and disadvantages . That was a much larger RV and you want a fully walkable roof with that… but when I switched to an ultralight trailer, I was happy it’s fiberglass and zero wood bones.

I admire you so much for the stamina with this project and your end result should make you very proud. I have did remodels on campers and it definitely is much harder than a house. Tiny spaces are a huge pain to work in. You definitely earned your education with all the work and you turned out a fantastic job. When I first saw you start, all I could say is, bless your heart, you are going to practically need to rebuild the whole thing. You tackled and stayed positive and overcame an overwhelming job. Your knowledge earned will be invaluable to you and if you ever look to buy another camper, you will be well educated as to what things to check out. You go girl!! GREAT JOB!! Proud of you!!

(Story for another day). I adore everything you did in this... I'd definitely do the counters with that cool look paint!! 😂 Seriously, they do have cool colors for countertops that make it look like cement, marble or even your favorite color. I've tried that contact paper on the counters before as well, I never once had great luck. I live in Texas and that's where I leave the blame. 😂 Thanknyou for sharing this amazing time-lapse and the bug for me to go look for another one to redo myself. You're awesome!!❤❤❤
