just got a 22 ft prowler and fliped the axels... best thing ever...went from 9 inch clearance on the plumbing to 15 inches of clearance.... awesome....

You are a true camper man! I was wondering also about alignment, it seems these trailer/rv's are slapped together, takes some effort to get them sorted and really usable. Thanks for another great video!

Thanks for this and the actual flippin' video! I had to laugh, because we took our "new to us" camper out by Tarryall for a shake down trip and I managed to bend one of the stabilizer jacks about 2 min's into the forest service road. It was a long slow trip back out, 3 days later. I'm making the flip next week before our next trip. Thanks again, Tractor on, Phill

If you have cambered axles not straight tubes you'll need to either do a bolt on flip kit or weld the perches on 180 for spring over . If you have straight tubes nothing to do but So in the tube and bolt it back up .

My trailer has those axles with no visible springs, inside rubber stuff. I think they're called Dexter. How you raise this kind?

I did the job with some friends. If you are able to do it yourself, the material cost is pretty low. Maybe $100 or so. Thanks for watching.

***** I could write a long list of the differences between the two (I will at some point make a movie about the differences). Here is my feedback for you based on my experience: I like my truck camper because it is compact, it hauls/tows easy, and setup at a campsite is a matter of parking your truck. I don't like my truck camper because it is a pain to get loaded on the truck, there is minimal floor space, I can't leave the camper at a campsite, and sleeping 3+ people is very tight. I like my travel trailer because it has about 3 times the amount of floor space, a lot more amenities, sleeps 4-6 people comfortable, and just is more spacious overall. I don't like my travel trailer because my MPG is terrible, I can't use it in the winter (too sketchy to tow and don't want the lines to freeze), and setup at a campsite takes a good amount of time. There are always pros and cons to every camper. I guess the main question I have for you is how do you plan on using your camper? Where will you be camping/going? How many people will be sleeping in the camper? How much space do you need? Do you want to drop your camper and be able to use your vehicle? I hope that helps. Whilst I very much appreciate the follow up video, please don't shoot content whilst in control of a vehicle. Even worse with a trailer in tow. It was a 5 minute video. Shoot it whilst parked up on the side of the road or when you get to camp. You're responsible for the safety and well being of every other driver you pass on the road. their lives are literally in your hands, please be more considerate of that fact before turning the camera on next time.
