there are many things I’d like to say about this video and I will. I’m glad I found you guys. I’m in the beginning stages. I haven’t even purchased my cargo trailer yet for my conversion. However, I will say, and you guys keep saying, the the common thread is "You get what you pay for"

The Whale Gusher foot pump is on West Marine. I have 2 of them on my sailboat and am installing in my cargo conversion. They last forever and have re-build kits. After 20 years, I rebuilt one of my foot pumps.

All is good about the hospital-grade outlets. Hot and neutral stranded wires are easy to connect. BUT.. the ground wire is still a problem. I had to add the 1/2" washer to the screw to keep all the strands under the screw.

The receptacles for the fridge and microwave did not look like hospital grade to me. They were weather resistant but hospital grade should have a green dot on them ?

Great information, Kevin really thought this out. Regarding the stranded wire with outlets, I think the answer is soldering the stranded ends, should work fine with normal outlet.

Why did you choose a window air conditioner over a mini split with your quality and expertise?

all looked good till the air conditioner and fan.a mini split and correct solar it could run all day. now he has two holes that will leak at some point and a waste of solar space.

I use that whale foot pump also. There was one thing I was not going to have in my build, and that was a water pump that sounded like a woodpecker on methamphetamine.

I like the work that this fellow has done. There’s some really interesting innovative thoughts behind what’s going on here. I have an objection to register however. That objection is that the reliance upon Amazon is one of the things that’s driving so many people out of business, out of their homes. I would urge folks to work really hard at resourcing from somewhere else besides the billionaires refuge. There have been many times I have found a much lower cost materials at locally owned hardware stores, and lumber yards, than in the box stores, and Amazon.That said, great video, great information. Reach beyond the first hit from your search, try mom n pop stores eh?
@H2OTOYS-903 жыл бұрын
Hey Paul, it's Kevin! I agree buddy! I built and owned my own biz for 15 years! Keep in mind that in this vid, the two most expensive items did NOT come from Amazon...the trailer(proudly made in Nappanee, IN) and the Unique Fridge. Please like and sub to this channel and you'll readily see PART #3 which also contains more items NOT purchased from Amazon.
