Hi I’ve got the Handpresso, E-presso. I’ve had it about 9 months, and it’s superb. Use it all the time and I think about £90 plus delivery. I’ve had two of their hand pump versions too, for the last 13 years.

you really should put a precis of all your video tips and tricks into a book !! be an instant success, especially for beginners. chapters on what to take/do what not to, ways to pay for putcvhase, places you like to visit , beaches and areas good for dogs, is a campervan right for you, things to co sider, how to park and advice on using parking, how to set up tents, awnings etc, even best shows to go to and recommended garages/servicing . Bet a lot of your fans would buy a copy!! I'm only considering a campervan but i'd love a book like that

I got the OutIn due to the heating capabilities, instead of the Picopresso. I want to be able to make effortless coffee (press a button and it’ll work), since I’m already hand grinding coffee beans. The only downside for me, is the 8g basket size. If it was double, this would be perfect. Honestly though, just means I have to make 2 coffees for one drink. Not the end of the world.

I have the nanopresso with the NS adapter and I have the bright part of that adapter fitted to the main body before I put the capsule in. Place the capsule then fit the plastic lid. Never torn a capsule that way. Good video on the Outin thank you.

We have some Thermos flasks from the new range which keeps water hot for a lot longer, over 4 or 5 hours it stays very hot holds heat about twice as long as our previous thermos and Stanley flasks. They have done a lot of work on the top and neck of the flasks. Would be a good comparison with a thermometer to test. Great review, love these comparisons so informative.

Sounds good! I was surprised at how quickly the heat seemed to be dropping off in the YETI one I took with me, although I wasn't using their 'flask lid' which I am sure would have helped.

@@CampervanTime yes, the new Thermos is first flask that kept drink “hot” for 24 hours, they were always lukewarm after a day previously.

It is generally acknowledged that the Wacaco machines absorb a lot of the heat and when used at home you should always run some hot water through before making a coffee. Obviously that is not so easy while out hiking (but still possible) I was surprised by the tearing you saw. I do not own a Wacaco that handles pods but in the reviews of the Nanopresso I got the impression (perhaps mistakenly) that you don't press the pod in hard enough to break the seal. Instead you place it in and the seal breaks when you screw it together. If I am right then that might make it less likely to rip the seal as most of the twisting happens before it punctures the seal.

Thanks, will give that a go. Ours seems to have torn the tops off any kind of Nespresso capsules from day 1 - so may be the way we're using it. Will try your method 👍

With Nescafe pods, this is a bit more complicated. First you pierce the bottom of the pod and start pumping, and when enough pressure is built up, the top foil bulges outwards enough to be pierced. This is good for consistency of pressure.
@RobinHartJones
@RobinHartJones 10 ай бұрын
Good point. You would think the Nanopresso would work the same way though so it is still possible that the OP is pushing it in too hard and puncturing the foil before he has re-assembled the machine, never mind built up the pressure.

I don't always carry hot water with me when I travel, so I had opted for Outin. Otherwise, the Wacaco would also have been a good option. Especially their latest Pico model

How long does it take to charge via the USB in the car?

Good question, we've never tried like that as we've always just brought it into the house and put it on a MacBook USB C charger. 3-4 hrs in the car I'd expect from a 12v USB C charger.

Greetings. I have a request, do you happen to know where I could order an external shade for the front and side front windows for the California T6.1? I know I watched it once on your video but I can't find it. Thank you for your reply, greetings Your fan from Slovakia.

Just ordered one in Space Grey. Once I've used it a few times, I'll post an update comment here. Thanks for the discount - $14 off. I'm currently in the research phase before purchasing a VW Camper. I've looked at California Ocean's and compared in price to a nearly new VWT Highline and having it converted by one of the top UK converters. Price is more for a California once you start adding the options that come as standard with a converter package. The whole SWB or LWB decision is still an issue. Many of the converters seem to lean towards SWB as a preference - does the extra 40mm make a difference? Love the videos - best channel out there for newbie camper van owners. Might see you at the NEC in October - going on the 18th.
@CampervanTime
@CampervanTime Жыл бұрын
Hello! I think the SWB vs LWB is a really personal thing. The LWB does feel more spacious inside and does allow for a bit more living space when you have the bed out downstairs. Obviously the California doesn't come in LWB so that makes the decision for you if you did go for a Cali, but with a conversion it's more of a choice. When comparing a Cali to a conversion it's important to compare like with like in terms of spec, as some of the features (useful ones!) on the Cali Ocean can be overlooked - such as proper rear climate control when travelling (great if you have kids/dogs), double glazed windows to cut down on condensation, diesel heater, LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, climate control in the cab, two leisure batteries etc. All of which can obviously be fitted/sourced on a base VW transporter and then a conversion added, but mostly it ends up costing more.

@@CampervanTime Hi Will and Sarah, thanks for your reply. There will only be two of us using the camper, so a SWB might be sufficient, especially as the Cali is built on the same wheelbase. A 1-2 year old Highline will tick all the boxes for cab spec, some also have LED lights and have a rear camera too. Diesel heater and a lithium battery will be part of the conversion spec plus a microwave, which I think offers more cooking flexibility to just the gas stove, especially when weather stops outdoor cooking. We are currently looking at Highlife Campers in Yorkshire, Endless Summer Conversions in Wales and Camper King which are all over the UK. But, I'm hoping the NEC in October will help with the final decision! Great videos by the way. I found your site a few weeks ago and have worked through them from the start!

Does anyone know if I can charge Outin directly via the 12V cigarette lighter in my car without the need for a 5v charger? Obviously I need a matching adapter cable, but is it possible without damaging the device?
