did you look in to LED aluminium trunking it sits flush and has a defuser on it and you could have slotted your roof panels in to watch side of it giving a totally seamless look through the van , they do the trunking in all different shapes as well

Did we have a look? You could say that...countless hours researching, calling and debating...yes, yes we did 😂 We really didn't want a diffuser to dim our LED's brightness since we know how much it hampers them, in theory, a clear diffusion layer would have been great but since the roof is curved we needed a bendable LED aluminium channel with a clear diffusion layer which quite frankly, we couldn't find cheap (was going to be £100 for 4 silly strips). When we do our ceiling video, we'll show off our plan with the aluminium backing for these strips, which is a much cheaper option. 👍

Blue Hawaii said it all. You did a really great job on the LED installation. I especially liked the switch box - professionally designed and built. Blue is the perfect colour. I am thinking what the mystery dimmer switch will operate.......maybe a disco glitter ball. Can't wait for that video. Best wishes to you both.

Did you put that cover over the led lights for protection or changing the color? Just curious because I use those lights too, just without that extra cover. Great job.

The cover is to protect the LEDs from moisture and such, it was important to us that the colour remains unaltered 🙂

Couldn't you make the switches on right side of that box so you don't have wires going through your key holder? Plus you cloud have saved on some twine too

Well, it was discussed 😉 - yes we could have and next time we might reverse it - but the reasoning this time was that we wanted the key holder near the door because if we put a plant in that cup we would want the green on that side... Sooooo the decision was purely decorative and not overly considered. 😂
