@tbeardmore1 Жыл бұрын

@TheCampervanBuilder Жыл бұрын
Yes, just like they could if they broke in any vehicle with a lock

That door is not secure at all,it only took fifteen seconds to enter my bus and get out with radio and valuables, so ditched that idea and used four shoot bolts each corner attached to door remote locking kit so i had remote unlock/lock electrical cylinder lock switch for outside and one inside, key kept in inside lock while in use for escape reasons. I also painted inside glass about a third way up and used a strong grid inside the painted area so if the glass was smashed they would still have inconvenience moving stuff out. I was lucky as the alarm went off and i managed to grab one of the three thieves causing him to grab hold of vehicle leaving behind a good set of prints he escaped my grasp but he was caught later that evening. i had proper motorhome insurance which paid out quickly i think it was with mmc good video and interesting how to fit the milenco just not on that type of door because of its inherent design. All the components i used costs less than £30 of ebay and was reliable upto point of sale (7 years)

Universal Car Remote Control Central Kit 4 Door Door Lock Locking Keyless Entry on eBay attach shortened rods to bolts fitted to doors or frame if you require key-operated then eBay for a universal electric key switch must attach to the master auto lock (one with most wires) should cost no more £26 depending on quality etc. just search ebay select lowest price then choose which you like. eBay item number:254455942650 eBay item number:313089268661 hope that helps

Looks like you now have 2 buses on your drive. Also your fridge is over your window so how are you venting the top part of the fridge as the flue is now next to the glass so gas unable to be used. Or are you venting it through the roof. It will need a top vent for the fridge cycle to work properly.
@TheCampervanBuilder5 жыл бұрын
YEs I got a second bus from the same place, the top and bottom vents are already in place for the fridge with the top being above the window with an exhaust fan fitted, I've fitted a few 3 way fridges so know how they are to be fitted correctly

@@TheCampervanBuilder ok. Are you making the compartment room sealed for all the flued appliances. Fridge, water heater, space heater etc. As a NCC Approved caravan and motorhome engineer I'm just making sure your fitting them correctly and safely. So many videos on here where they've been fitted wrong on so many levels. Copper pipe will also need to be used on the entire gas system other than the flexiblr hose from the bottle to the regulator. That's the only place you have flex. Along with gas drop holes as I've seen in your previous videos. I'm not picking faults as your videos are great. I'm just making sure there done correctly and safely. Interested in seeing your solar set up on this conversion. That must have cost a pretty penny

Yes the fridge & oven area will be fully boxed in and sealed as this Thetford fridge doesn't have a direct flue but uses the vent air circulation instead so it needs to be sealed (I'd prefer a direct flue for peace of mind). Everything in this build is copper piped throughout from the underslung tank fill point through to the 4 way manifold and off to the appliances, drop out holes are near any connections / appliances, water heater is Truma so directly flued externally. I've only previously used flex hose to go from regulator to manifold or in micro campers where the bottle only had a camping type hob to feed and even then I put drop out holes in, if there were more appliances it goes to copper. I've always had my main conversions inspected by a locally registered ncc engineer, it was advice from his first visit on my first conversion which I've followed since. I agree there are a lot of shoddy jobs out there, I'm always cautious to upload much about the gas as I know some will try and copy and maybe not do it 100% right. The solar is all in and wired up, certainly wasn't cheap with the Victron controller being the same price as the panels but I don't think I'll ever run out of power, not with the batteries I have in too (428ah's)..

@@TheCampervanBuilder will this be for personal use or to sell on. Looking forward to the completed build. Good to know you're thinking about safety. Keep up the great work

Personal use while I finish it and build out the other bus, then probably sell one of them but which I'm not sure yet
