Campervan Overnight At A Reservoir In The Brecon Beacons

This camp had everything going for it..... The Bongo! good weather, amazing views, yummy food and peace and quiet. The only problem was that it was only for one night!
We studied the OS map for sites around Brecon that we thought we might be able to stay overnight at. Then we zoomed in on potential sites using Google maps, looking for lay-bys, tiny car parks and hidden away pull ins. Then we set off with our short list and did some drive -bys. Quite a few places had "No Overnight Camping" signs up so we discounted those. But we did find a lovely spot eventually so it is definitely worthwhile persevering
We make a huge effort to "leave no trace" and think that this is the least we can do in return for staying at a lovely location (or any location for that matter!) I have bought a litter picker that I keep in the van so that I can clear up other people's rubbish as well if necessary.

@@TheImportanceofBeing I think they are good when filming to give good good shots for the vlogs. I reckon lots of people try to be an expert before mastering the basics. Have you altered the control stick speeds? I have always had mine slowed down to give smoother shoots.

Also just wanted to thank you for another tip - recently you mentioned that people were considering Jackeries as alternatives to a leisure battery. A battery was next in our list and when we looked into it, decided that a Jackery was a better option for us - before you mentioned we had no idea, so another big thank you!

Hi Amanda that’s brilliant - I think I would do the same if I didn’t already have a battery. The beauty of the Jackery is that you can take it with you for picnics and all sorts of stuff as well! Are going with the solar panel set up as well?
