OUR VISIT TO MEDIEVAL ''DOMME'. FORTIFIED VILLAGE IN THE DORDOGNE VALLEY. VAN TRIP. SEPT- 2021.

Well, the rain has finally abated, so we are grabbing the sunshine and heading to the nearby medieval fortified village of 'Domme'.
Domme is classified as one of the most beautiful villages of France and occupies a gorgeous position high above the Dordogne river. The village is absolutely lovely to walk around, with beautiful streets and buildings, fortified walls and a park to just relax and have a bit of lunch.
The views from the top of the town, down the valley are pretty spectacular and worth the trek needed to get to the town up a rather lengthy uphill walk.
We had a fantastic day visiting , even if we did get caught by the rain in the end!!
