interesting to hear, as I had the andromeda 2020 and returned them within a couple weeks, didn't like how the low mids sounded and also the mids sounded distant and muddy. Billie Jean song out of many sounded so freakin weird in every way. I do admit the highs on the Andromeda are incredible and awesome instrument separation to where like you could pin point where each sound came from in like degrees or something.

When I read and heard the technical data, the various reviews and tests, it seems to me that the CA Ara is more or less the serial version of the special model Andromeda Gold. Which is in my earphone collection and I am extremely satisfied with it.

@terryRBNF2 жыл бұрын
@@yewxiangtan6797 been a while since i heard the Ara so take my impressions with a grain of salt but i feel the Ara compared to the OG Solaris was more neutral,, more mid centric, i feel the brightness was similar but somehow was more noticeable on the Ara. The Ara also had a leaner bass but still sounded warm. The imaging of the ara was also more solid and less spacious than the Solaris. I felt they were quite different sounding and both were worth owning

Your videos are impressive and makes an individual want to hear more and more info from you. I am a rookie audiophile and would like to know which campfire audio IEM would be similar to and would exceed the Shure se846's. I think I want to switch to campfire audio. Can't get over how impressive they look.

Do you think the Ara will Benedict from Dragonfly Cobalt?
@lotharwolf50024 жыл бұрын
The CA Ara is more or less the serial version of the special model Andromeda Gold, which is in my earphone collection. He benefits a lot from my Dragonfly Cobalt, which I bought since I was not satisfied with my audios sources from FIIO M15 or iBasso DX220. Through the presentation of cleanly structured basses, very well-defined mids and Cristal clear highs. The same applies to all models from the Campfire Audio portfolio.

@@luismiguelclemente3232 I have owned the Cobalt since last December. I paired it to my LG v30 Smartphone, the v30, which already had owned an excellent DAC ( the main reason why I purchased it.) I here heartedly recommend you purchase the Cobalt, though it comes with a forewarning. If your usage of it will be soley for stationary Home usage, the following words and suggestions may not apply to your Experience of it, I however, had used it mostly as an "on-the-go" pleasure, with a lot of near daily many your work-out rough and tumble usage. After a couple months, the signal got interrupted. It was due to the internally wire/s, existent within its included Dragonfly adaptor linking to my Smartphone, breaking. I have this adaptor now on order. If you have an Android as I do, you will , if your listening regime is half similar to mine, you'll need to spend an occasional $30 to keep your marriage with the Cobalt from severing.

@@luismiguelclemente3232 To this, there will be the weight of the Cobalt itself, contorting downwards to that of the Dragontail Adaptor leading into your Smartphone, you might, might, want to purchase two to three Dragontails in advance. In hindsight and would have had I known. You WILL love anew what the Cobalt further reveals of the Muses overseeing your music . Enjoy !!

If you read the technical data of the MV10 and that of the new Andromeda, they should sound very similar. After the appearance of the MV10, Ken mentioned that he found the sound tuning very good to him and probably implemented it in the 2020 model of the standard Andromeda.

Imo Solaris sound like BA bass
@theovonskeletor37094 жыл бұрын
You lost me at bass light. Can you explain timbre more? My understanding of it is if you hear 2 of the same instruments playing the same thing at the same time, your ability to tell the 2 apart is timbre. Also I wouldn't call bass light audiophile. Audiophile means an accurate representation of the original recording and you ain't gonna get that with a bass light or neutral set
@ResolveReviews4 жыл бұрын
Bass light if you're expecting a harman shelf or bass boost. Many audiophiles consider the lack of bass shelf to be 'neutral' because there aren't any ear-related gain factors in that region. So anytime there is a bass shelf, it's technically just for preference or 'fun' sound. I personally like the bass shelf though, so it's worth noting. And yeah timbre in instruments is that, and in headphones you have both material/transducer related timbre, but you've also got FR related timbre - meaning that the overall presentation can be more or less 'natural' sounding. But really, I think material-related timbre is the more salient one for evaluative purposes.
