Beach campfires are even better than they seem in movies and tv! When I was growing up my family would camp literally on the beach... that sounds better than it really is, but a nighttime campfire is just magical. The smells of the beach, the breeze, the stars overhead and the sound of waves rolling in... it's wonderful!

Having a bon fire on the beach roasting marshmallows is SO very magical. Especially in the summer when the sand just cooled off so you run your toes through the cool sand after a hot day in the water and you already put your comfy sweater and shorts on over your swim suit. You're maybe 15 hanging out with friends. Maybe your crush is there and you're trying to figure out how you can get closer to him because he looks so cute with that fire glow on his face.... ugh the good 'ol days..... I'm like almost 28 now and I don't quite feel those feelings the same way I did all those years ago but I'll never forget the magic of those days or the way It made me feel. It was like there was never a care in the world. The only thing that mattered was what was happening in the moment. It was beautiful. It was exciting... It was magical.

Its been so long that I've been to a bonfire or campfire I honestly cannot remember when it was and I just turned 43 on May 3rd. When the last movie in the Lord of the Rings came out in our town the theatre had a marathon with the previous movies and my friend and I sat there for all of it. There are so many sayings and quotes from the movies that I had to look them up and choose one of my favorites.
