LOVE the effect of the confetti/shavings... that would make an amazing “layered birthday cake” soap! Do it in 2 or 3 layers with a line of “frosting” in between... and then a matching frosting on top!!

From what I've noticed, people tend to connect the most to the version they saw first. In terms of direct adaptations, it was the '95, Colin Firth version for me. But, what actually got me really into it and actually helped me understand the characters was the web series The Lizzie Bennet Diaries. The modern take on it was great while still keeping true to the characters.

I am SOOO excited for this! I’m a HUGE Jane Austen fan. She is the reason I have a degree in English Literature. We use a lot of the Pemberley diamond soap. It’s how I prove my son actually washes his hands I have to be able to smell the soap on his grubby little boy hands.

The bbc version is like a family staple for us. We have watched it too many times together and it still doesn't get old. Great music, actresses and actors, camera work, scenery, costumes, storyline...

As a musician with a degree in music history, I do not like Knightley version score better. It creates an ambience but it seems like a generic drama-romance-movie score. (of course musical taste is subjective.) The music score for the BBC mini series is extremely accurate. All of the music used is music from the period that the story is set in. The Keira Knightley version has inaccurate costuming and musical score and the acting is too dramatic and it's just... not as good. The BBC version is an immersive masterpiece. It is SO GOOD OMG

I love the music from the movie, but I agree it is not particularly accurate to the time period. (As a costume designer, the movie costumes are garbage for time period accuracy)

as much as i love the new little women, for historical accuracy, the 1990s winona ryder version is very historically accurate

They actually done a documentary on all the behind the scenes for the original pride and prejudice BBC. Loved how they researched the dances, to ensure it matched the time. Also, one interesting thing, they had in back in that time, they use to bring shoes to the ball, so these were dancing shoes. E down to the candles, you know since electricity wasn’t a thing then, they would actually have different types of candles for the hours that you would be at the ball. They will have 8 to 6 hours and sometimes longer, (hours representing the burn rate). It also showed your wealth status, so if you had the 8 to 12 hour burning candles, then you were considered more of a higher class then if you could just afford the six or lower hour candles. Lol

It would be awesome to have a base soap club box with the piping bags, tips, etc. And then a monthly box that has the materials needed like micas and fragrance and Maybe the mold for embeds, to your favorite soap of the month you release. I would buy in a heartbeat.
