Woah! So many feelings in this episode. Join me for my first solo week alone in Mexico! After living in a van for 3 years I’m no stranger to van life and unknown places, however it’s easy to get caught up- become scared or feel lonely. Instead I’m embracing my solo road by gathering courage, seeing new places and challenging my self to vlog alone and drive to somewhere remote in my tiny home to off grid camp.

Our Journey! How did we get here?
In the winter of 2019 we moved in to our self built van full time to begin living, working and travelling Canada. We quickly fell in love with chasing our dreams of adventuring off the beaten path, living off grid and being self sustaining. We drove our van thousands of miles through various countries-Canada, USA, Mexico & Guatemala. All of which we documented here on our channel, be sure to check that out! After many years on the open road we found ourselves 15 acres of remote woods on the East Coast of Canada where we are building a homestead and renovating our fully off the grid cabin. We are diving into this chapter of our lives in no experience, we're so happy we can bring you all along as we learn to do it all with our own two hands. Not bad drone skills, it does take a little getting used to- so much going on- especially remembering to hit record. Setting your home location each time before you fly is important too, so if you and your drone loose connection it will come back to you.

Your drone shots were beautiful! Nice job. I love how you bravely embrace solo adventure. It is a different experience than traveling with a partner, and quite the adventure, meeting with your self. I’m 65 now, but recall fondly my solo adventures , especially bicycling down the west coast alone, waking up surrounded by coyotes, dodging a few dodgy characters, meeting a few amazing people. Here’s an idea…get either childproof latches or get a latch system made for boats for all your cabinets and drawers to prevent the contents from falling out and breaking or injuring your doggies. It has made a big difference for me with my rig.

This is gotta be one of the most well crafted travel channels on all of youtube. Your ability to balance raw know-how, stage presence, complex planning, and rolling with unexpected situations while also editing together all your beautifully taken footage at a professional level (do you do it yourselves? I don't see an editing credit so I assume you do at least sometimes...), some of which look like pretty difficult shots you clearly went out of your way to snag, is absolutely inspiring. I could count on one hand the number of travel docuseries made by bigtime production studios that managed to pull off the kind of long-term narrative you've managed to create

My brother has a beach house in South Carolina. Often my friend & I would be up to welcome the Sunrise. This is when many dog owners would bring their pups to the Beach. It is like dog heaven. The dogs interact with old friends & new friends too. They just run & run having the best time imaginable. Later in the day, as the Beach fills up, dogs have to be on leashes…local ordinance. Sometimes We would take a twilight walk as the beach starts to empty out. Some owners might let the dogs run free again but never in the numbers of the sunrise gathering.

Crystal-I had just finished cleaning my place and walking my pooch. So satisfying. Then I drank my greens, sat down to watch your video: and watch you do some satisfying clean-up, greens drinking and hanging with the poochies. The similarities were amazing. But they ended there. Your personality oozes a calmness and such happy chill feeling. Anything special going on in Mexico for so many van lifers going there at the same time ? I have so many helpful ideas that I would like to share with you guys for cabin. I'm 65 but a young 65,retired hairdresser and my husband and I love the outdoors and camping,fishing,all of it. We had a fifth wheel for over 20 years we parked in a place in the country by a waterfall and we were there practically every minute we weren't working. Another thing is my family

I grew up in a tropical area and ate papaya almost daily. It's my grandma favorite thing for breakfast. We like to cut the papaya in half, remove the seeds, then use the papaya as a bowl. Squeeze some lemon or lime juice in it and add in cut up fruit of your choice. Then enjoy 😋. I highly recommend trying it the next time you have some

Izy, I just had a great reflexion watching your video. It took many more hours than expected to get you to where you needed to be today. It took you so long because you took the job of taking us there with you. So it might be a little harder, and you might not feel our company right away, but hopefully, when you read the comments, you get this feeling of partnership with us that we feel with you guys when we watch it.
